She is a former AE Bride who fell in love with her styling experience so much that she wanted to provide that same experience for others. Mahayla’s favorite thing to do is enjoy time with her husband Jacob and their sweet fur baby, Millie. She is a Yuba Sutter area native and on her free time she enjoys baking, doing CrossFit, and experiencing different places with her hubby. Aside from home life and work, Mahayla is also a full time college student studying Business Management. Zoe is originally from Liverpool, England. She started traveling to the US in 2010 to see big cities like Seattle and Nashville, where she met new friends and satisfied her deep love for music. It was in Chicago that she met the love of her life, who lived here in Chico. When they got engaged, she stepped into Always Elegant Bridal in November 2017 in hopes of finding the dress (which of course, she did!) and they were married at Grey Whale Cove in Pacifica, CA the following May. When she saw A|E was hiring, she jumped at the opportunity to work with and style brides the way she had experienced. Months later she realized it had become her passion in life – empowering women to feel their most confident and beautiful through listening, understanding, and sharing her knowledge of the gorgeous gowns at her fingertips. Outside of A|E, she enjoys #vanlife adventures with her husband, watching live music, and FaceTimes with her family back home.

We put the time and effort in so you don’t have to! | Dream Wedding: “My wedding was an intimate family event with about 25 guests, on a cliff top overlooking the ocean. A grey whale swam by right before the ceremony began! Our reception was held on a beachfront hotel balcony at sunset. I loved every minute, even the things that went ‘wrong’. If I get the pleasure of styling you, ask me about my homemade wedding cake fiasco.”

From the bay to Chico, she was born and raised in San Jose. She moved to Chico after transferring from her community college to Chico State two years ago, and she graduates with her Bachelors in Psychology this May! She says most people are 99% water, but in her case she is 99% iced coffee. She loves to make a difference in peoples lives and chose to work at AE for that exact reason.

She is devoted to her major and it shows, and she loves to make a positive difference in everything she does. Especially in styling her fabulous brides! She wants nothing more than to create an environment where you feel comfortable, beautiful, and stress-free and will go that extra mile to give you the perfect experience you deserve. Some of her favorite things to do are go back to San Jose and visit her friends and family, hangout with her dogs, and go to Target. Her go-to Starbucks order: a vanilla iced coffee with almond milk and her favorite nightly drink is an ice cold 805. My favorite part about being a bridal stylist is getting to make connections with new people and be a friendly face during a time that can be a little overwhelming, and getting to see the smiles and looks of confidence our brides feel when they say yes to their dress.
