We had Richard and the AVSD team help us produce a livestream of our wedding because much of our family was unable to travel in due to the COVID-19 situation. With his help we were able to get an easy, straightforward, and high quality stream to all of our family without needing them to download software or create any logins. They had multiple cameras and mics so it looked professionally produced and everyone could see/hear what was going on. They also stayed for the reception and went around interviewing guest and documenting details It worked so well and we got a copy of the recording afterwards which was so fun to watch. I highly recommend anyone who is doing a smaller or virtual wedding use AVSD to make it accessible via stream.

Richard was really easy to work with and really transformed the room we used for the wedding with the wonderful lighting they setup. I'm really happy we used A Very Special Day for our wedding.

A Very Special Day is such a sweet name for a company but they truly live by their name and can create a truly special day for your event/wedding. We were on a tight budget for our wedding and chose a venue that was reasonable but we had to create the “Magic” and with an empty space…this can be difficult. We hired A Very Special Day to help with the lighting and the videography. We LOVED working with Richard, Shoji and Connor! They were all very professional, accommodating and worked within our budget. My husband was not thrilled with the idea of anything being videotaped and he was pleasantly surprised that the group made us feel as if they were not even present and the end was result was beautiful. All the hard work and time that goes into planning a wedding and then within one day it is over….having the event filmed was very special. After our honeymoon we watched the montage, ceremony and raw footage. We absolutely loved watching it all because we noticed that through the rapid pace of the wedding and adrenaline mixed with alcohol….we could hardly remember one of the most special days of your lives and being able to see our guests send us love and well wishes was incredibly special too! So if you are contemplating which company to choose with our abundance of choices now days….look no further…Choose….A VERY SPECIAL DAY!!

I used the DJ, Aaron Lehmann with A Very Special Day for our wedding on 01.16.16. Let me just say he was amazing! It was the first wedding that I had ever been to that people danced ALLL night long. Aaron was such a pleasure to work with and really took both my husbands and my taste in music to heart. I would recommend him to anyone!

Richard was terrific!! We had a night wedding at the Dallas Arboretum and he did a wonderful job making the place look magical but also providing enough lighting for our photos. There were comments like "you're wedding looks like a magazine wedding," that we heard throughout the night. His experience definitely showed by the details of our wedding and his skills as a DJ were second to none. He even found a unique song for me to walk down the aisle to that brought tears to my eyes. Very happy with our experience!!

We cannot recommend AVS Day (& specifically Aaron as a DJ) enough!! Aaron's professionalism & thoroughness made the whole experience so easy & left one less thing for us to worry about the day of. I cannot emphasize enough how much we appreciated him throughout the whole process. The night of our outdoor reception there was a HUGE storm that threw all our planning out the window & he rolled with it all seamlessly, ensuring that everyone had a great night.

AVS provided the cafe lighting for our reception at the Dallas Arboretum, and it looked beautiful. More importantly, though, we hired our DJ, Aaron Lehmann, through AVS.

Aaron was AMAZING. He did a great job listening to what we wanted for dinner music and dancing music and included all of our requested songs. He also edited our mother-son and father-daughter dance songs perfectly. My dad is a musician and a music snob, and we danced to one of his favorite songs (which was so obscure, I emailed the file to Aaron). We needed one of the verses taken out, and my dad was shocked at how seamlessly Aaron edited it. My mother-in-law keeps raving about how fun the dance party was and how her 70+ year-old sister danced (which she never does). Everyone at our reception danced the entire time - from break dancing four year olds to 70-year-old aunties. We went into the wedding planning process thinking the DJ wasn't such a big deal, but after working with Aaron, we realized how lucky we got to have someone who could manage our timeline, get everyone pumped up, and make the night special. Thank you!!

I have worked with Richard and his team before, so it's no wonder I didn't search for my wedding DJ and entertainer. He's so much more than a DJ. Here's the Top 10 reasons, A Very Special Day was my first choice and why I will always use Richard in the future...

1) HE'S MORE LIKE A HOST/EMCEE. AVSD engages folks and makes your guests laugh - Even the stale Aunt that you didn't want to invite. I have seen ten, too many, DJ's claim to be great and have seen all of them come off as unprofessional, unknowledgeable and...lame. This crew should be categorized as a "HOST." The music is just bonus.

2) YOUR WEDDING WILL NOT BE PERFECT. Sorry to break it to you. Crap happens. But, with Richard, he'll roll with the punches and you'll wonder why he didn't charge you double. Wedding mascot shows up two hours early? Richard has it covered. He reacted calmly and quickly -- And I didn't have a wedding planner so it was just me and him. He handled the change-up like a pro.

3) HE WILL TELL YOU THINGS YOU FORGOT ABOUT. Did you know that your DJ/Emcee/Entertainer/Host will also keep you on point with wedding etiquette? Richard OWNS his events and there were several times I thought what a waste it would be to have a day-of or wedding day coordinator because I had him. If you DO have a wedding day coordinator, you'll probably coast into your honeymoon even more easily. Kudos for you. Don't have that? Call Richard, you'll be fine. :)

4) Richard "plays well" with ALL vendors. In fact, my videographer and photographer kept going to and working with him. He even came up with an idea I'd never seen before to keep my guests from waiting in line -- and having fun -- while food was being served. Priceless.

AVSD is dynamite!!

Everything was great! From our first meeting to the last dance, Aaron was very professional, comforting, and reassuring. He knew exactly how to get a feel for the crowd, and used a mixture of our favorite music styles to bring everyone out to the dance floor. Also, we didn't give him too many specific details about what to play, because we trusted his judgement as a professional disc jockey. All we told him was a few of our favorite artists and genres, and throughout the evening, Andrew and I kept finding ourselves looking at each other when one of our favorite songs began to play... somehow Aaron knew exactly what songs were meaningful in our relationship. A+++++++

Richard and his team are amazing. They did the lighting, sound, videography, balloon drop and slow motion video lounge for our wedding. He was so flexible and helpful all night. The lighting was perfectly done and as a videographer, he was EVERYWHERE! He didn't miss a single thing. The slow motion video lounge was the biggest hit of the wedding. It added the perfect amount of fun and people were in it all night! It's definitly worth it. It is so fun to see all the guests, young and old, dancing around and having a blast! I would recommend AVSD to everyone!
