Livestream of our Ceremony + Reception

We had Richard and the AVSD team help us produce a livestream of our wedding because much of our family was unable to travel in due to the COVID-19 situation. With his help we were able to get an easy, straightforward, and high quality stream to all of our family without needing them to download software or create any logins. They had multiple cameras and mics so it looked professionally produced and everyone could see/hear what was going on. They also stayed for the reception and went around interviewing guest and documenting details It worked so well and we got a copy of the recording afterwards which was so fun to watch. I highly recommend anyone who is doing a smaller or virtual wedding use AVSD to make it accessible via stream.

Lighting for Our Wedding

Richard was really easy to work with and really transformed the room we used for the wedding with the wonderful lighting they setup. I'm really happy we used A Very Special Day for our wedding.

A Very Special Day is such a sweet name for a company but they truly live by their name and can create a truly special day for your event/wedding. We were on a tight budget for our wedding and chose a venue that was reasonable but we had to create the “Magic” and with an empty space…this can be difficult. We hired A Very Special Day to help with the lighting and the videography. We LOVED working with Richard, Shoji and Connor! They were all very professional, accommodating and worked within our budget. My husband was not thrilled with the idea of anything being videotaped and he was pleasantly surprised that the group made us feel as if they were not even present and the end was result was beautiful. All the hard work and time that goes into planning a wedding and then within one day it is over….having the event filmed was very special. After our honeymoon we watched the montage, ceremony and raw footage. We absolutely loved watching it all because we noticed that through the rapid pace of the wedding and adrenaline mixed with alcohol….we could hardly remember one of the most special days of your lives and being able to see our guests send us love and well wishes was incredibly special too! So if you are contemplating which company to choose with our abundance of choices now days….look no further…Choose….A VERY SPECIAL DAY!!

I used the DJ, Aaron Lehmann with A Very Special Day for our wedding on 01.16.16. Let me just say he was amazing! It was the first wedding that I had ever been to that people danced ALLL night long. Aaron was such a pleasure to work with and really took both my husbands and my taste in music to heart. I would recommend him to anyone!

Richard was terrific!! We had a night wedding at the Dallas Arboretum and he did a wonderful job making the place look magical but also providing enough lighting for our photos. There were comments like "you're wedding looks like a magazine wedding," that we heard throughout the night. His experience definitely showed by the details of our wedding and his skills as a DJ were second to none. He even found a unique song for me to walk down the aisle to that brought tears to my eyes. Very happy with our experience!!

We cannot recommend AVS Day (& specifically Aaron as a DJ) enough!! Aaron's professionalism & thoroughness made the whole experience so easy & left one less thing for us to worry about the day of. I cannot emphasize enough how much we appreciated him throughout the whole process. The night of our outdoor reception there was a HUGE storm that threw all our planning out the window & he rolled with it all seamlessly, ensuring that everyone had a great night.

Richard was great to work with & handled the lighting which was nothing short of enchanting. Could not be happier with our experience with AVS Day!

AVS provided the cafe lighting for our reception at the Dallas Arboretum, and it looked beautiful. More importantly, though, we hired our DJ, Aaron Lehmann, through AVS.

Aaron was AMAZING. He did a great job listening to what we wanted for dinner music and dancing music and included all of our requested songs. He also edited our mother-son and father-daughter dance songs perfectly. My dad is a musician and a music snob, and we danced to one of his favorite songs (which was so obscure, I emailed the file to Aaron). We needed one of the verses taken out, and my dad was shocked at how seamlessly Aaron edited it. My mother-in-law keeps raving about how fun the dance party was and how her 70+ year-old sister danced (which she never does). Everyone at our reception danced the entire time - from break dancing four year olds to 70-year-old aunties. We went into the wedding planning process thinking the DJ wasn't such a big deal, but after working with Aaron, we realized how lucky we got to have someone who could manage our timeline, get everyone pumped up, and make the night special. Thank you!!

I have worked with Richard and his team before, so it's no wonder I didn't search for my wedding DJ and entertainer. He's so much more than a DJ. Here's the Top 10 reasons, A Very Special Day was my first choice and why I will always use Richard in the future...

1) HE'S MORE LIKE A HOST/EMCEE. AVSD engages folks and makes your guests laugh - Even the stale Aunt that you didn't want to invite. I have seen ten, too many, DJ's claim to be great and have seen all of them come off as unprofessional, unknowledgeable and...lame. This crew should be categorized as a "HOST." The music is just bonus.

2) YOUR WEDDING WILL NOT BE PERFECT. Sorry to break it to you. Crap happens. But, with Richard, he'll roll with the punches and you'll wonder why he didn't charge you double. Wedding mascot shows up two hours early? Richard has it covered. He reacted calmly and quickly -- And I didn't have a wedding planner so it was just me and him. He handled the change-up like a pro.

3) HE WILL TELL YOU THINGS YOU FORGOT ABOUT. Did you know that your DJ/Emcee/Entertainer/Host will also keep you on point with wedding etiquette? Richard OWNS his events and there were several times I thought what a waste it would be to have a day-of or wedding day coordinator because I had him. If you DO have a wedding day coordinator, you'll probably coast into your honeymoon even more easily. Kudos for you. Don't have that? Call Richard, you'll be fine. :)

4) Richard "plays well" with ALL vendors. In fact, my videographer and photographer kept going to and working with him. He even came up with an idea I'd never seen before to keep my guests from waiting in line -- and having fun -- while food was being served. Priceless.

Everything was great! From our first meeting to the last dance, Aaron was very professional, comforting, and reassuring. He knew exactly how to get a feel for the crowd, and used a mixture of our favorite music styles to bring everyone out to the dance floor. Also, we didn't give him too many specific details about what to play, because we trusted his judgement as a professional disc jockey. All we told him was a few of our favorite artists and genres, and throughout the evening, Andrew and I kept finding ourselves looking at each other when one of our favorite songs began to play... somehow Aaron knew exactly what songs were meaningful in our relationship. Richard and his team are amazing. They did the lighting, sound, videography, balloon drop and slow motion video lounge for our wedding. He was so flexible and helpful all night. The lighting was perfectly done and as a videographer, he was EVERYWHERE! He didn't miss a single thing. The slow motion video lounge was the biggest hit of the wedding. It added the perfect amount of fun and people were in it all night! It's definitly worth it. It is so fun to see all the guests, young and old, dancing around and having a blast! I would recommend AVSD to everyone!

A Very Special Day did such a fantastic job capturing a timeless piece. They did such a beautiful job editing the video. They captured and highlighted all the important moments to me and I am so happy I decided to go with them. They arrived early to capture Dallas hair and makeup artist, Tisha, from tcmakeup.com who did an amazing job finish getting me ready. They did a fabulous job! The wedding and reception was outdoors at the Dallas Arboretum and the lighting was truly magical. Extra thanks to Richard for pointing out that sunset that day would require more lighting for the ceremony. He hung a beautiful chandelier above the arbor and it was stunning!

I booked A VSDay for my DJ, videography, lighting, flowers, and green screen. Richard and the team made me feel at ease on my big day. Everything was taken care of and the flowers by Sonia were absolutely amazing. The videography also turned out just like how I wanted. Richard and company at AVSD were really great! We hired Richard to do music for our ceremony and reception, videography, and also help filming a special welcome video that was played prior to the wedding party entrance at our reception. I had never heard of anyone having a slow motion video from their wedding. It was one of the best choices I could have made. Working with the staff was effortless. They followed up well and were always friendly. The video was ready 2 weeks after the wedding. Compared to other videographers and photographers that is incredibly quick (especially in the middle of wedding season). The best thing about it all is they really captured the tone and personalities of the guests at my wedding. The editing to the music was so perfect. I have watched the video 20 times. My family has shown it to strangers that have reached out to me to say how amazing it is, and they don't even know anyone in the video. This is a unique keepsake we will enjoy forever. Everything is better in slow motion! I highly recommend working with this company for any of your wedding needs. They are worth every penny. Thank you so much!

A Very special day made our wedding experience truly special. From the beginning Jennifer, Aaron and Richard made us feel so very special in customizing a truly wonderful wedding day for us and our close personal guests. They were very creative in helping us build a custom timeline of the wedding day and corresponding music for the wedding ceremony and reception. The amount of time they spent with us prior to the big day in getting to know us made us feel so happy that we found AVSD to complete our wedding. Aaron did a fabulous MC/DJ job keeping the flow going through the night with the reception, games, toasts, and dances. Richard and his team really saved the day with our videographer mess. Our original videographer was arrested a couple of months prior to the wedding. Thanks to our planner contacting Richard, Richard agreed to be our videographer with a similar package for the amount that we had remaining for the original videographer (which was less than half of what they typically charge for that kind of package). Not only that, then Richard went above and beyond and added videographers for our wedding and edited these beautiful videos for my husband and I. On top of that, when my husband's vows weren't audible because of wind issues, they invited us into their studio to redo his vows and matched up the vows so that we wouldn't miss them. Absolutely a fantastic group of people.

Richard did a fanstastic job with our wedding video. I was originally against having a videographer because I didn't think it would be anything we would ever watch, but we have watched it multiple times since the big day. He was thorough in his pre-wedding meeting and took into mind all of my special requests. Richard and his team captured our venue and ceremony beautifully. The blend of music in with our party was perfect. The whole team was prompt in their completion of the process. The entire thing was enjoyable and I have refered them to several friends already.

Aaron did a fantastic job at our wedding, everyone enjoyed the music selection we made for cocktail hour. The night went by so fast but the dancing was none stop throughout the reception.

AVSD also provided drapes for us for your ceremony location and it turned out wonderfully.

My fiance and I were getting close to our budget and we thought we would save money by not getting a DJ. A friend recommended A Very Special Day and I'm so glad we decided to use them. They were great to work with and they set us up with our DJ, Shawn, who met with us 2 times before our wedding. He was great! He gave us some great ideas to make our wedding unique and he even taught our guests The Wobble. We never thought we would have such a blast dancing at our wedding but because of Shawn and A Very Special Day, I'll always remember how much fun I had dancing with my new husband and all our friends and family!

We used A Very Special Day videography for our February 11th wedding. We had them do the 'Love Story' video which is something unique that I couldnt find at any other company and it came out great. Our Wedding Video was amazing too! It showed our personalities and our entire wedding and reception and all the fun stuff in between.

I never write reviews but absolutely had to for Aaron with A Very Special Day. He was the best DJ a bride could ask for, a wonderful emcee, keeping the reception smoothly rolling along, and he knew what to play to keep the dance floor packed. Our guests our still raving about the music! He not only followed my must play list and recommended plays, but was able to do it so the dance floor was never empty. Can't thank him or the Very Special Day team enough for their professionalism and ability to let the music make the party. Very highly recommend!

Aaron with AVSD was exactly what we needed and wanted in a DJ. He was the first vendor we booked and couldn't wait to see what he'd do for us on our big day. ...wow, what a great night we had. I danced alllll night long. Trust me -- I AM NOT A DANCER! I look ridiculous! But who doesn't want to dance on the night of their reception?! Aaron was professional, prompt, met with us twice in person before the wedding, and responded to emails quickly. I am so pleased with AVSD! And - their price was EXTREMELY reasonable. We even got LED lights thrown in. We booked him more than a year out, as our wedding was 11/11/11. I just can't say enough good things. Everything we wanted, he did. He didn't play ANYTHING I don't like (Gaga, Ke$ha, etc) and was just fabulous to work with. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Aaron from AVS was the definition of perfection. Aaron is so professional and met with me several times to ease my worries about song choices, the flow of our ceremony and reception, gave me fun and unique ideas and was all around just amazing. He pays extra attention to details and creates your night... exactly the way you've always envisioned it to run. He has great song suggestions and can help you decide which songs are best for the guests at your wedding.

He arrives on time, prepared and ready to work.

He also came to my rehearsal which I loved - it was nice being able to run through the day EXACTLY the way it would happen... it definitely calmed my nerves!

DO NOT GO WITH ANYONE ELSE... A VERY SPECIAL DAY is the BEST!

Richard provided exceptional lighting and monogram services to us. When i saw our venue for the first time the gobo (monogram with our name initals in the middle of the dance floor) along with our uplights hands down was the perfect touch to making our wedding a DREAM wedding. We had so many compliments on the uplights inside and outside of our venue. In additional to the great product, richard came dressed for the occasion!!! He looked very professional and I wouldnt have chosen any other company or person to be apart of our VERY SPECIAL DAY :-)

Having Richard and his team as my DJ and lighting, was the BEST decision. During the planning process, I was very particular with my vendors. Customer service was #1 and he gets a 10+. My expectations were exceeded, which is pretty hard to do :). I did not think it would be that important to sit down with him beforehand to discuss the flow of the event and he let me know this is required and our meeting went fantastic. He sat down with my mom and I and went over so many different songs, made great suggestions, came up with games to play to keep the guests involved...etc. My husband I thought that our wedding would actually be quiet and very relaxed; Richard changed the entire atmosphere and mood of the wedding. The guests had a ball with the games he suggested. I thought I did not want games at the wedding and it was highlight of the evening. Regarding the lighting, the way he positioned the lights and spot lighting to hit the arrangements were perfect. Should I have any events in the future, I will high AVS Day. Everything was perfect and you can tell that he loves what he does. He does not treat you like a business, but he will take time to figure what you want and make it that much better. Richard, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is what you were born to do!! Sincerely, A very happy bride! :)

AMAZING, all the review are correct. My only regret is not letting AVSD do all the lighting, and DJ services. If you can, do the love story and play it at your reception, I am still getiing calls about how unique and cool everyone thought it was. Our poor camera guys I know had to have been so hot, but I never remember seeing them once things got started! They worked with my photographer and DJ and I just can't wait to see the video!!! This review just doesn't do these guys justice!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about A Very Special Day! They provided lighting and DJ services for my January 8 wedding, and they were perfect. They made it easy for me to coordinate everything by phone since I live out of town and did not get into town until the Thursday before the wedding. Aaron met me at my hotel and could not have been more professional and accommodating -- including finding song requests that were a bit out of the ordinary (e.g., a pep band version of Can't Turn You Loose and the Final Four One Final Moment Song). At the reception, Aaron made everything run smoothly and played great music (which several people said was the best selection they had heard at a wedding). Aaron went above and beyond -- when our wedding party was delayed getting to the reception venue, Aaron delayed the food service and brought coffee to the bride and groom while we waited outside for our entrance. He also was the MVP who found the flower petals for people to throw when we didn't know where they were. Aaron indulged our terrible karaoke and happily played music when the couple and the last stragglers returned after a quick lap around the parking lot for more singing and dancing. A very special day made our reception worry-free and perfect for guests of all ages.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with Aaron for our wedding at PK Lake. He was absolutely fantastic! He was great about working with us on options for our outdoor setting and offered lots of great suggestions for everything from venue setup for best sound, song suggestions, reception ideas and logistics for our get-away. We both felt very confident that Aaron had a good understanding of how we envisioned our perfect night. Unfortunately, we had an unexpected emergency the day of our wedding and Aaron did a great job of taking over and keeping the party going. I have received so many compliments from guests on the music and atmosphere that he provided. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone I know looking for a great DJ that can also think on his feet.

I want to start of by saying that my wife and I planned this wedding and had no clue what we were doing half the time. We came across A Very Special Day's booth at one of the wedding shows and really liked what they had to offer. They didn't email me a thousand times or call every five mins. They were very professional. They asked what my budget was and what services I needed. They then were able to set up a DJ that could do what I wanted at the cost I wanted. I was luck enough to get Aaron as our DJ. At the first visit he got a feel for what type of music we wanted, the style of wedding we wanted and catered everything to reflect that. What I didn't bargin for was how much help he was besides being our DJ. He was able to give advice on thing we could do during the reception, ideas for songs we could play, on toasts from the groom, I could go one forever. Two weeks before the wedding he set up a final consultation. We still had a few holes in our music selections and Aaron gave great advice and let us listen to songs that he thought would be a good fit. Of course they were great fits. The music was great. He really kept all the guests dancing and having a good time. He was able to get everyone from teenagers to grandparents on the floor to dance. I would highly recommend A Very Special Day and Aaron to anyone.

On top of doing our DJ service AVSD also provided uplights. When we first contracted for the DJ they gave us a voucher for some money to be used towards lighting. The voucher, plus some money of our own provided great uplights, spot lights and a Monogram initial for the wall. AVSD can do it all

Our DJ was Richard McClure and I could not have been more delightfully suprised with his services! As soon as you book your wedding, he should be the very next call! From our brief meeting, he got a good sense of who we were and was extremely adept in translating that into entertaining our guests. He masterfully kept the energy going among my sedate bunch of wedding guests. My husband is a fairly shy person and Richard created an environment where he was able to enjoy the night more than I thought was possible. He truly went well above and beyond all my expectations.

My wedding planner recommended Richard for DJ services with no hesitation, and when we first met him we knew he was our man. Since we were planning our wedding from out of town, he was very flexible to accommodate our schedule, going even above and beyond to do a video session with us when we simply could not meet with him in person. He made our reception so much fun by playing exactly what we requested, and he knew exactly how to emcee and just go with the flow. He also made our reception very special by playing songs that were unique to our culture that was so unexpected.

We also decided have AVSD do our lighting, and that gave our wedding the extra 'icing' on the cake. It made our reception look exceptionally beautiful in photos!

A Very Special Day made my wedding day a very special day indeed. He was very prompt in response every time we had a question. Aaron showed up and took such good care of us it was amazing! We really didn't know how to convey the way we wanted it to look and the experience we wanted to have. He asked great questions and basically became the master of "reception ceremonies" It was such a great evening and I can definitely say he played a huge role in making it happen. I used the videography and DJ for my wedding. The DJ was Aaron Lehman. He was great and easy to work with. He was always willing to meet up anytime and make changes. He was very helpful on the day of the wedding. I highly recommend Aaron.

I didn't have a lot of communications with the videographer, Ryan Brown, until a couple of weeks before the wedding. After talking to Ryan, I felt he knew what he was doing so I left it up to him. He was also easy to work with. However, I can't comment on the video since I haven't received them but I'm sure it will be good.

I also used lightings through AVS. Everything looked great. The only thing I was disappointed was the initial monogram gobo light. It was too small on the dance floor. Other than that, everything looked the way I pictured it.

Words can not convey how extremely pleased we were with our lighting!!! It was as important to the decor as the carefully planned flower arrangements,
tableclothes,cake, and china.

We were not confident with our ability to define our lighting needs for the wedding. There is so much that can be done and we have limited experience with lighting technology. Richard McClure with AVSD Productions came up with the perfect plan to create the ideal mood and feeling our daughter dreamed of having on her special day. It was magical!!! It tranformed the entire room into an incredible atmosphere way beyond our expectations!!!!

Of all the $$$ spent on wedding, funds for lighting was well spent! ASVD PRODUCTIONS will always have our business not only because they are pros when it comes to detail but they resoled all the breakdowns that can happen when your planning and something goes wrong. Richard McClure's talents and skills were much appreciated. We discovered at the last minute someone else forgot an important part of the reception and Richard was able to fix the problem. I think 5 rating is not high enough for the service and quality we received. We have fond memories, no regrets, and enjoyed every minute of our daughter's wedding! Richard was a great DJ to work with. He was the first vendor I hired and did not look for any other DJ's. We also added the lighting from this same company and we were sooooo pleased! My husband and I totally recommend Richard of a Very Special Day to everyone! If you want your reception program smooth, hire them. I did not have to worry about what was coming next during the reception, Richard took care of keeping track of time and making sure we got to the cake cutting, games, dances, etc. He is just awesome!!! The lighting was a hit and everyone loved it as well.

Richard and his staff were AMAZING on our "Very Special wedding day!" Couldnt have asked for anyone better. He did the little extra things that make it all worth it. He was only suppose to be our Dj, but he did so much more. He helped around when no one asked, did a wedding video (just in case we ever wanted one, which I ended up buying 4 years down the road, and he STILL had it!) and he also took pictures, just in case. Could not have asked for a better guy. Thanks Richard. A Very Special Day was nothing more then fabulous!

Richard McClure and his staff were wonderful! They provided videography and lighting for my wedding. The event was a huge success in part to A Very Special Day. Richard was absolutely fantastic! He helped us throughout the wedding planning process and provided some great advice on all aspects of the reception. He even was there to help us when we had a slight reception crisis with the hotel in the middle of the reception event!

Most importantly, though, the guests all enjoyed Richards entertainment ideas. We had some great games and music selections which really motivated the guests to party down!

We truly recommend Richard for anyone needing a unique DJ for their very special occasion.

The first time we met with Richard, he asked what I had invisioned for my wedding day. I told him I wanted a big party and for my friends and family to have a blast. He offered a wide range of music and many helpful ideas.

Just the other day (2 years later) a friend of mine commented that my wedding was the "most fun wedding" she had ever been to. Vision accomplished! My husband and I have since reffered Richard for several weddings.

Did I mention he traveled 2 hours to reach my wedding? It still didn't cost an arm and a leg!!!

AVSD did a great job with the pre-wedding video, the wedding/reception video, and the DJ gig. The quality of the work was outstanding and Richard's sense of humor added so much zest to the celebration. Showing our pre-wedding video at our rehersal dinner was a hoot...Richard actually came to the rehersal dinner to project it on the restaurant wall. Aaron was a fun DJ and both he and Richard helped with the timeline and planning of the wedding and reception and essentially were my wedding planners!! Richard also gave me leads to other vendors to assist with the decorations that helped save big $$$. I wouldn't hesitate to refer couples(and I have) to AVSD. The videos and pictures of our wedding are priceless and I'm so glad I spent the money to do it right...After everythings over....all thats left is the groom(hopefully) and the pictures/video!!

They showed professionalism in every way. Great coverage of our entire day and our video is something we will cherish for ever. Let me start out by saying Richard McClure and his company not only was a great person to work with, but I LITERALLY don't think I could have done this wedding without him. He was able to take charge of the rehersal with all of my out-of-town family/friends and he found the very specific music I wanted for our wedding ceremony -- chinese erhu. He showed up plenty of time before anyone else, kept everyone entertained while we took photos, and even made my husband and I "to-go" boxes of our dinner b/c we had no time to sit and eat! Ladies-- if you leave the DJ planning to your fiancee and you end up meeting Richard thank your stars b/c your soon to be husband picked a great DJ!! (Thats what happend to me :D )

I highly recommend Richard Mclure. He was not only an awesome DJ but an awesome MC and coordinator. He helped make sure everything came together in the wedding and that's something the average DJ doesn't do. His assistants and videographers did an excellent job and everyone was very professional, and they all made sure that we were happy every step of the way. A Very Special Day also did the lighting for our venue, which absolutely accentuated all of the decor that we had and the high ceilings in the room. I couldn't have been more happy with all of the services they provided for my wedding. :)

Richard, from A Very Special Day, is a one-of-a-kind DJ. For my wedding, he provided all the music for the ceremony and reception. He executed everything we asked him to do for us perfectly. Even went beyond our expectations. He has a sound system that is unique to all the others out there. He has great ideas, makes it fun for all age groups, and was the highlight of my wedding. Until this day, my friends, family, and guest of the wedding are still saying how great the DJ performance was at my wedding. My advice, don't risk hiring someone you're unsure of. I've used Richard before, and I'm passing on my own personal experienced that I've had with A Very Special Day. He was worth every dollar we invested in him.

I used Richard McClure with A Very Special Day for my wedding and was highly impressed! He was accessible through the whole process which made my planning so much easier. He was enthusiastic and very creative. He gave us ideas for fun things to do at our reception that I had never thought of before. They made our reception so much more unique and enjoyable. Richard went above and beyond at the wedding. He did both our ceremony and reception. The lighting they did was fantastic. He engaged the crowd wonderfully; he performed magic tricks that quieted my crying niece; he helped my pregnant photographer set up her lighting; he even blew bubbles around my husband and I on our last dance for a picture-perfect moment. He went above and beyond in every way.

I dealt with Cheryl on the administrative side of things and she was great too- very courteous and prompt to respond to any question I may have had. Their contract was detailed and they delivered on every aspect of the contract. I would recommend them to anyone in the DFW area.

A Very Special Day did an amazing job with our wedding from the DJ to the lighting. Richard was our DJ and he made sure we had time to eat, mingle, and do all the special wedding activities we wanted to do. he also handled any issues that came up so we could enjoy our time. He took the time to get to know us and from that was able to tailor the music to our style and all our guests loved it. The lighting was also wonderful from the twinkle lights to the uplighting and the gobos. It truly made it feel like we were under the stars. I did spend more than I was expecting on the DJ and lighting but I felt I got so much for my money that it was worth the extra I put towards it. I highly recommend him for your wedding or event!

Aaron is an awesome DJ! My husband and I are so happy we hired him. In our meetings prior to the wedding, Aaron was great about suggesting music (what would work well and what wouldn’t) and giving us a timeline and order of events for our reception. He definitely knows his stuff! At the reception, Aaron played great music the entire time and the dance floor was never empty. He’s good about making announcements and “emceeing”, but without being obnoxious. The first thing my mom said to me when my husband and I arrived to the reception was “I love your DJ” and she ran up to tell Aaron how much she enjoyed the music. She’s already said she wants to hire him for my younger sister’s weddings.

It was great! He was able to recommend wireless speakers for our space which worked out really well to carry the sound and he did a great job of going with flow and making adjustments as need.Great DJ and we would definitely use him again!Just want to let you know quickly how great your performance was.
Literally everyone could not stop talking about how perfect your song transitions were and how you built the music up to keep the dancing going. I have not been to a wedding that had that much participation
and happiness on a dance floor.

Richard (AVSDay.com) was an amazing DJ. Everything was done to the "T" for all of our requests and specifications. AVSDay is a full service vendor that will provide as much or as little as you require for your event. We used him for the DJ function, lighting, announcing, etc. It was all very hands on, always available for questions, very professional, and not a single mistake was made for our wedding. I would recommend Richard and his crew to anyone who asked for a DJ recommendation. They have a special way of keeping everyone involved, having fun, and keeping all facets of your function running smoothly through all transitions. Plus, very accommodating to Photographer which is always a BIG PLUS!!! A++

Richard was great. Not only did they do our lighting, videography, and DJ, but they also went the extra mile and helped us decorate too. He had lots of fun entertainment ideas, and great advice and selection of music. He's easy and fun to work with. He was the best price we could find by far, and by far the best we looked at.

Shoji made our NYE daytime wedding look exactly like a nighttime party with his draping and beautiful uplighting! He did an exceptional job with listening to what we really wanted and what we were able to do with the venue. He has such a great personality and went above and beyond for making our wedding look like our dream wedding. Look no further for your lighting needs for your wedding. Our wedding went perfect all around, but the lighting really added to this in a really big way. It brought the whole Reception together and created the perfect event for us. I couldn't imagine the wedding without having the string lights set up.

We had one moment where a single string went out early on, but that was fixed right away, loose bulb or something lol. It was all great, thank you so much.

We overall had an amazing experience, we had some delay hearing back from the videography side. But once it came down to the day of the wedding, everyone was on point. We haven't seen the video yet, but i'm sure it's amazing.

Richard to is an exceptional DJ and did a wonderful job at our wedding. He catered to our needs and made sure our request were met. He knew how to set the mood for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The lighting in the reception enhanced the room and made it look beautiful.
Many of our guest complimented on Richard, saying he did an excellent job to get everyone involved and playing great combinations of music.
His mc skills are great as well. He did a wonderful job on introduction and getting people on the floor to dance.
He is a very professional DJ and gave us a very memorable wedding day.
We highly recommend Richard to everyone looking for a professional, fun, and very accommodating DJ!
Ryan, our videographer, also did a wonderful job. He was very discreet when recording our wedding. He made sure not to be in the way, but at the same time was there for every precious moment. Our guest also complimented on his skill and professionalism. We haven?t gotten the video yet, but we are sure it will be beautiful! We can?t wait!

Our videographer showed up early to the ceremony and made sure to get everyone that needed a microphone set up. I got to listen in on my groom talking to the priest about how he knew i was "the one" just before the ceremony began. That is something i will never forget!!!!

Everything looked great!! The lighting was perfect!! We got colored lights around the dance floor and the plain lights around the sides of the room, it was awesome!! They came on time and I didn't have to worry about a things except getting beautiful for my day!! I definitely recommend getting the gobo lights...They are personalized lights that are amazing, we got some great photographs from that!!!

Shawn at AVSD was amazing. He met with us beforehand to see what kind of a feel we wanted for the reception and what kind of music we liked and didn't like. He was entertaining, but not overly talkative during the reception. The one thing I wanted to make sure of was that our DJ wouldn't try to be a comedian or be on the mic all night. And Shawn wasn't. He was totally respectful of the mood and kept everyone out on the dance floor all night. I highly recommend asking for Shawn if you book with AVSD!!

I loved everything about our wedding, but what I loved most of all is how all the vendors got along and really worked together to make the day go smooth. We have an awesome wedding video and a great love story which was the highlight of our wedding!

Initially we were planning on doing the iPod wedding - but I'm so glad that we hired Aaron to do our wedding. I think the biggest thing that I hadn't considered was WHO was going to coordinate at the reception. Aaron worked directly with the venue, our band, and our wedding party to make sure everything flowed perfectly. Since he was coordinating, it let me feel like I could circle around and see guests and he would come and get me as needed.

He had a very thourough list for what we wanted and what we didn't want at the wedding. We loved everything he played.

Would definitely recommend Aaron to anyone needing a DJ!

We really liked Richard after our first meeting with him, so we booked him. We were given a discount because our wedding was on a Sunday and we were able to get free uplighting (which can be expensive) because of a bridal show special, but his normal rates are a little high. He & his staff were very professional and we got a lot of compliments on how he was great at keeping things flowing and reading the crowd. He had a lot of great suggestions to keep the flow of the buffet line good and to get everyone on the dance floor without forcing them. Everyone had a great time so we would definitely use him again!
He wasn't very good at responding to some emails, but only toward the end when wedding season really picked up, so I'm sure he was busy. We were always able to get in contact with him over the phone. We did give him a play list of "must play" songs, but most of them didn't get played. There were a few other very minor mishaps, but like I said, he played good music, people loved him, and we all had a great time!

Richard is very busy so he was a little hard to get a hold of, but it wasn't a problem because the Sales Director was always available. Other than that he was really nice and very easy to work with - definitely excited and passionate about his work. We loved how our reception site turned out with the paper lanterns and lighting, but were surprised that no one set up a spotlight on our head table - a few guests complained it was a little hard to see us.

Richard and team were a pleasure to work with. AVD did my lighting and DJ services. Only complaint is you have to follow up with him a lot to get paperwork back to the venues. Richard really brought the reception to life. I was initially skeptical about some of his ideas but they got everyone on their feet dancing and having an amazing time.

The lighting he did was beautiful and the pictures are beautiful.

We used AVSD for DJ and lighting. Our DJ (Shawn) did a really good job. He kept our guest going the whole time and never got off schedule. He also did a good job of feeling what our guest like in music and only played what they would dance too. In my opinion the DJ can make or break a reception and he defiantly made ours fun.

The lighting at our wedding was also very good. They set everything on time and in the right spots. I feel like they were a little bit pricier on the lights than I hoped, but it was nice to only have to deal with one vendor and cover two portions of our wedding.
