Sunday Wedding?!?!!?
The date we wanted to have our wedding has been taken, I was just wondering how many brides are getting married on a Sunday?!?!?!

Thanks everyone. My venue only discounts Monday-Thursday events...I just wanted to have it late summer so it would be nice outside. I wanted to have it late July or early August but of course all the saturdays are taken! :-(

I am getting married on a Sunday and see nothing wrong with it! It's your day, who cares what day it is, and it's usually cheaper too:) Good Luck!

I'm having a Sunday brunch wedding, it's the only day of the week both my groom and his best man are off. Plus, I prefer breakfast-y foods to dinner anytime. Good luck!

We are having a sunday wedding! its from 1-5:30 so that ppl can still have enough time to go home and rest up for Monday. As Julie said, its your day. If ppl want to make it to your Sunday wedding they will find a way to do so. Good Luck.

While you didn't ask an opinion, I just wanted to say I think that since you are getting married Fourth of July weekend, it will work out fine.

I would get your STD's by the end of this summer, this way people will not book their vacations.

Happy wedding planning!

Im getting married on a Sunday and I get to save money since its discounted. Even though its not on a holiday weekend Its our day and we are paying for the whole event ourselves so it really don't matter what anyone else thinks.

Mine is on Sunday, you definitely save a lot of money from a lot of the venues you will choose. Some advice, depending on where you are getting married (small or big town) we had a difficult time finding a hair dresser that was open or willing to come in on Sunday. I would start searching early for that if you don't have someone already lined up!

Mine is on a Friday. While this is very common in NY I was afraid of our OOT guests from the South not coming. My FH told me - Those who care and want to be there for us WILL be. Ever heard the quote "Those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter"? My point is GO FOR IT!

The problem we've found on having the Sunday wedding (& a holiday) is getting hair & make up done. Going to a salon is out b/c if they are open Sunday, its not until noon and a lot of MUAs charge extra for travel on a Sunday/before noon/holiday.
