Rental car group rate

I wasn't aware this was a thing.

I know for hotels it is, but not for cars.

Car rental is based on what they can rent at the airport. Call around.

I came across a wedding website while searching for hotel blocks where my wedding is located that stated they had a group rate for Budget car rentals (Orlando airport, the closest airport to my venue). The wedding website had a coupon code you could use while booking. I was wondering how much of a discount they could really give...I will call Budget and see if this is a thing.

@Susan some of my guests are using our wedding as an Orlando vacation so they will definitely need a rental car

I hadn't thought about this but it would be great if they did offer something like that. I also have at least half of the guest list from OOT.

Even if you negotiated a discount I can't imagine it's any better than a AAA rate or affinity group rate. If im a guest going to a wedding I don't expect the bride and groom to figure out my rental car for me. It's a nice thing to do, but not a necessary thing.

After some googling I did find a form on Budget's website to request a wedding group rate. I will update when they get back to me.

@CoffeeNColor I am not sure they can do better than those discounts either but that is why I wanted to ask around before giving out my info. Since I didn't get any feedback, I figured I would give it a shot and see what I could get.

Also I will say that my mom has used carrental8.com a couple of times and has gotten some really good prices from that and said she found it for like $10 a day for the weekend of my wedding.

I called to get info for OOT friends. No discount was given. We put the info on a detail card when we sent out the save-the-dates.

My hotel has a complementary shuttle to and from the airport

Came across this thread while googling this exact questions @Pickles - were you able to get a wedding group discount through Budget? Really interested to see how this worked out! Our venue is 2-3 hrs from Chicago and would love to offer this up for our OOT guests.

I would also like to do this for our guests. They will have to drive 3 hours from San Francisco to our venue near Yosemite. I saw Avis, Hertz, and Enterprise all seem to have a group discount program. Would love to hear others’ experiences.
