need a cheap veil
ive been looking around for veils now that i have my dress. all the ones at the bridal store i went to were like $100. isnt that a little rediculous for a piece of mesh? even on some websites ive been looking into they're really expensive. does anyone know of a good site that has cheap veils, im talking like $25 or under with included shipping. brides shouldnt be spending that much on a veil, in my opinion, i mean we already have the expensive dress.

This place has some georgeous veils. I plan on purchasing mine their once my mom realizes how expensive veils are from a bridal store. lol. They even have mantilla veils for around $50 instead of $300.

So, I hate Walmart and hardly ever go there...

But I went this morning on an emergency run to get some craft supplies for a dance camp I'm teaching. The craft stuff was right near an isle of wedding favors and such, so I took a stroll down that isle to just look. They had a veil... I didn't look too closely at it because I didn't have time, but I think it was around your price range.

I bought one of those veils from wal-mart and it looks super cheap. In addition to that it had a huge whole in it. Hence why I am being a new veil. lol.

I got my veil from distinctiveveils.com and it was I believe $30 with shipping, but custom made and was the only place I could find exactly what I wanted - a non-pouffy veil! I love how it turned out and I'm glad it didn't cost too much. There are a few veilmakers on this site. I don't know what they're prices are, but they are great ladies and would be worth talking to.

hehe... that's exactly why I hate Walmart... nothing they sell is good quality. Glad to hear your feedback on it, I had flagged it in my head as something to remember, if I needed to!

Yeah I bought one not from wal-mart but one of the ones like wal-marts at Michaels. I had planned on trimming it myself. Well when I showed it to my mom she noticed a whole in it and it looked sooo cheap. My mom decided she would buy me a new veil. Her price range was $50. We decided that with my dress I needed a mantilla veil but all the mantillas keep coming up between $200 to $300. WAY TOOO MUCH. Then I found that one website and she said if we don't find anything at David's Bridal then we will get the veil I picked out.

the only thing i got at walmart was DIY invitations and cheap bowl/vases for centerpieces. those are nice but other than that everything in that store is extremely poor quality. its nice to know other people think this too lol

Maybe mark it in your favorites and sign up for the site and when they offer free shipping or drastically discounted shipping you could buy it.

I managed to score an amazing deal. I am trying to put together this whole wedding while being on unemployment. Not an easy task but somehow I am able to do it. Although with the newest news of having to shell out almost 80K in hospital bills I am just thrilled that the bulk of everything is paid for.

i know how you feel, my fiancee is recently unemployed, jobs where we live are pretty scarce with our economy the way it is now, its so hard and stressful trying to figure out money. we have to take out a bank loan just to pay for things. both our families arent helping with any wedding costs so its all on us. we werent even sure if we could get married this year but we're figuring it out.

My fiance is unemployed due to the economy too, he got laid off and has been putting in applications for new jobs for 3 months now with not even one phone call, it's so frustrating. I will definately post pics of my dress when it's done! I'm so excited about it! My mom had her dress made by her mom so I guess it's kinda a family tradition lol.
