I loved working with Nora. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant because I wasn't sure if she knew how to do make-up on Asians naturally. I went in for the trial and I was still on the fence about moving forward because I wasn't completely satisfied with my make-up and hair trial. However, I knew that she had tons of training and experience as a make-up artist and I sensed that she had a good eye for things and that I just needed to communicate what I wanted. And can I just say.. she went above and beyond my expectations on my wedding day! People complimented me on my hair and make-up and she totally went for the look that I was going for. I got a sunburn and she also did a great job covering that up. She also did my sister's hair and make-up and my nieces' hair and everyone looked amazing! The thing that I'm particular about in wedding photos is how the bride looks in photos with the flash on. But I didn't look washed out at all! She's also just a ton of fun. I highly recommend her services. She is a very talented and experienced make-up artist.

I had a wonderful experience with Alpha for my graduation hair and makeup. She is such a sweet and friendly person and made the whole experience feel comfortable from the start. This was my first time ever getting professional hair and makeup done, and I was honestly pretty nervous. But both appointments for my graduation and photoshoot felt so easy, smooth, and stress-free. I loved how my hair and makeup turned out. She was open to feedback and made adjustments based on what I was looking for, which I really appreciated. Everything looked beautiful and photographed so well. Thank you, Alpha, for helping me get ready for such a special occasion!

My August 2013 wedding would not have been the success it was if it wasn’t for the fantastic hair and make-up services of Monica of Say Eye Doo. The make-up artist I originally hired found out about four months before my wedding that she was pregnant with a due date on my wedding. She recommended that I call Monica and thank goodness she did! I lived out of town and didn’t plan to arrive in southern California until two weeks before the August 2013 wedding. Monica and I corresponded easily via email before then, discussing hair and makeup packages, and sending pictures of ideas back and forth. We had a trial run for hair and makeup the day after I landed in Los Angeles and settled on the details. Monica responded to everything I requested – bigger this, hair fascinator over here, different style eyelashes, different shade of lipstick, etc. Monica is a true professional. She showed up on time (she had to travel about an hour) and worked through my bridal party and my preparations right on schedule. In addition to preparing us for the wedding, she stayed through the pre-reception pictures to remove my veil, fix my hair and touch up my makeup. Oh, and as an FYI, I’m African-American with relatively long natural hair, and I was looking for an afro, braided or twisted style. Monica did exactly what I wanted!

Terra did an amazing job of mastering the Old Hollywood finger wave, which is a pretty difficult hairstyle! The hair and makeup really captured the vintage glam look I was going for. Terra gives great and honest advice, and she traveled 45 min each way on the day off wedding. She needs to charge more! Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for hair and makeup in the LA area.

Alma is an amazing makeup artist. She can do any kind of makeup. I showed her a picture and she made it just like it. I love to get my makeup done by her and no one else. Alma's makeup technique is so good and she really listens to what the client wants. It's hard to find someone who can do the makeup you want and have it look good. Thanks to Alma I don't have to worry about that anymore!!!!

I don’t think my wedding would have been perfect without Michelle creating the perfect look! Michelle worked with me to develop a hairstyle that would match my personality, wedding dress, & theme of my wedding. On the day of the wedding, Michelle made me feel calm & relaxed. She made me feel special & beautiful on one of the most important days in my life. I have very stubborn hair that will not curl but Michelle made sure I was able to have curls on my wedding day. Not only did she do my hair, she also did my make up! I can’t thank her enough or rave about how amazing of a job she did on my wedding!

I've been coming to Salon Medusa for a few years now, but I recently got married and I knew I would be bringing my entire bridal party (plus my mom!) here for our hair and makeup. First of all, Kalani is the best. She is incredibly knowledgeable and skillful, but she is also very gifted in figuring out what your style is and how to make you look like the best version of you. I trust her judgment and feel totally comfortable with her. Since wedding days can be stressful, I knew that going to her meant that I could relax and let her do her thing and make me look fantastic. To top it all off, the rest of the team is awesome too. They treated us like VIPs and were dedicated to keeping us (me in particular) relaxed and well cared-for. The team all works together to keep things humming and they keep the environment friendly and welcoming. So, not only will I be returning (in fact, I just had Kalani take 12 inches off - that's how much I trust her), my mother who had never had her hair and makeup done will be returning too.
