Wedding Music Bands in New York

We knew about GYE because The Limit performed at my sister's wedding so it was an easy choice for us. GYE is professional, organized, and so easy to coordinate with--Elise made everything so easy for us and sent plenty of reminders so we didn't have to keep track of everything ourselves. The Limit is such an incredible group--one guest told me "I feel like I'm at a concert" referring to the quality of the music and energy of the performance. The band was truly a highlight of our wedding.

For a once in a lifetime fantastic experience book New York Edge. Everything they talked about previous to the wedding came to fruition. The repertoire included our taste and also fed the entire room. Our friends were thrilled and our parents and their friends were thrilled. We could not have made a better choice.

We highly, highly recommend the Knockouts! It was one of the best decisions in our wedding planning. Leading up to the event - the Cafe Wha team was so responsive and helpful in making sure every detail was aligned to our vision. Kyle and Amanda were also wonderful taking our preferences in advance to make the music custom to us. And then the wedding itself - it was one of the best wedding dance floors I’ve been a part of! The band was super engaged with us (coming on the dancefloor, having us on stage, etc) while still producing incredible music. The number of compliments re the band we got from our guests was incredible! We strongly recommend Hap, Kyle, Amanda and the whole cafe wha team for your wedding band.

45 Riots was, without question, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From several planning calls leading up to the big day, they were thoughtful, collaborative, and genuinely invested in helping us curate the perfect evening. Every detail felt intentional and tailored to us. The ceremony and cocktail hour music were beautiful, and then the reception absolutely blew us away. They made our first dance incredibly special and somehow managed to keep the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long. We found ourselves stopping mid-dance just to appreciate how unbelievably talented they were. Their interaction with our guests, willingness to have us on stage, and ability to create such an electric atmosphere made the night unforgettable. We have received countless compliments about the band, and we even had friends asking for their information during the wedding for their own weddings and events. Genuinely—and I don't think this is just wedding-day bias—I can confidently say they are the best wedding band we've ever seen. If you want an awesome celebratory experience then The Joel Young Band is the band for you. They were absolutely amazing! Having had the opportunity to hear them twice before, I didn't hesitate to hire them for my wedding. They were amazing with weaving various decades of music for everyone in attendance. Everyone felt included and the dance floor was always packed. They were extremely professional, and open to listening to any suggestions we had. Throughout the night, they constantly checked in to make sure everything was to our liking. On a night that you're worried about what could go wrong, you never had to worry about these guys. They performed like a well oiled machine and blew the roof off the building. I hope I get to hear these guys again soon.

We hired Sound Society after seeing them perform at a showcase, and they truly made our wedding. The band is so incredibly talented and they brought tremendous energy to our wedding. Many of our guests commented that they were the best wedding band they'd ever seen, and still to this day talk about how great the band was at our wedding.

The first element of our wedding planning that my now husband and I agreed on was that we wanted a live band more than anything. When we found the Last Nites and had the opportunity to talk with Waylan about what our vision was for the big day, we were so excited to find a vendor that seemed to get exactly what we were going for. Our guests continue to rave about the band and the energy and atmosphere they created on our wedding day. There are guests I never even said hi to that day because I was too busy dancing the night away to all of the hits The Last Nites belted out. It was such an incredible day and we couldn't have dreamed of how amazing it would turn out thanks to this amazing band and their leader Waylan. I can't recommend them enough to any other couples that are looking to have a wedding day that is centered on joy, laughter, genuine fun, and pure celebration because that's what they provided us. Thank you to Waylan for coordinating with us, to every musician and singer of this amazing ensemble, and to the people behind the scenes that help to bring it all to life.

One Love performed at our wedding at the Woodstock Inn, and we are still completely blown away! Working with them was an absolute dream; they are incredibly flexible and seamlessly handled all of our venue's setup logistics, coordinates, and staging needs without us having to worry about a thing. What sets One Love apart from every other wedding band is their personalization and robust music catalog. They didn’t just hand us a rigid package; they helped us thoroughly plan, curate, and customize our entire timeline and setlist to match our exact needs and vibe. They were even completely open to learning special song requests just for us, making our ceremony and dances feel incredibly personal. The most unique part of the One Love experience is that the music literally never stops. Unlike standard wedding bands that take breaks and throw on a basic playlist, One Love kept the live music flowing flawlessly from the ceremony to the gorgeous jazz trio during cocktail hour, right through the reception. They also made our evening uniquely unforgettable by letting some of our special guests jump on stage and play with the band. Having my grandpa jump up to sing and my father-in-law shred on the guitar during the reception brought the house down and created memories our families will cherish forever.
