Recently spoke with a friend about his son’s wedding, and after hearing what happened, I was shocked.

I was told not to book any entertainment until we saw Vali Entertainment perform at his sons wedding because they promised an amazing show. Unfortunately, his experience was the complete opposite.

Cocktail hour was supposed to feature a singer, but instead it felt more like three musicians having an informal jam session.

During the introductions of the families, bridal party, and the bride and groom, the vocals were so low that many guests could barely hear them. The father, who owns a production company, went to the sound engineer. The mixer showed the vocal levels were already at their maximum. Two concert sound engineers attending as guests also believed the speakers being used should have been capable of covering the room.

Thankfully, the staff at Legacy Castle stepped in and allowed the entertainment to use the venue’s house sound system, which immediately improved the audio.

Unfortunately, the energy of the performance never matched the expectations for a wedding of this caliber. The father asked what had happened to Sam, the performer he believed had been booked, and was simply told, “The music will get better.” It never did.

Eventually, the father had his own production team shorten the band’s performance and start the DJ earlier than planned. That decision completely changed the atmosphere and helped save the reception.

Based on everything I was told, I would personally look elsewhere when choosing entertainment. When expectations are set this high, the performance should meet them—especially at such an important event.
