45 Riots was the best decision we made when we were planning our March 2026 wedding. They were exceptional! The band absolutely nailed our musical preferences and the talent was extraordinary. Every single guest at our wedding was raving about the band's performance and the dance floor was packed ALL. NIGHT. LONG. Don't even think twice... this band is incredible.

This is a direct copy paste of an email I sent to the 45Riots team after my reception, which should provide a pretty clear description of my feelings towards the band:

Hi everyone,

Now that the dust has settled, I want to thank you again for your performance at our reception and all of the hard work and coordination that went into it. As I probably mentioned during some of our initial calls, I spent hours and hours researching nearly 50 NYC bands to play our reception. I watched every video and recording I could find. I made it a priority to see live any band we thought might play our reception, so we went to a half dozen bars across the city and Long Island to do so.

When I found 45 Riots's content on YouTube, I was impressed. I was disappointed, however, when we were told that it was unlikely we would be able to see 45 Riots play live because of the artists' busy schedules. When we were given the opportunity to see the band play live at LPR, we jumped at the chance.

The live performance blew us away. With no exaggeration, within 30 seconds, I told my then-fiancée that we had to have 45 Riots play our reception. And it was the best decision we could have made.

Leading up to the reception, I was nervous and excited, since picking the band was my lone responsibility. I also had high expectations. Put simply, 45 Riots exceeded every one of them. The band played every song we wanted to hear, nailed our first dance, the father / daughter dance, and the mother / son dance, and kept the energy high all night. Our guests -- from 85-year-old grandparents, to 20-year-old cousins, and everyone in between -- still cannot stop talking about the band and their favorite moments on the dancefloor -- Gimme Gimme Gimme into Like a Prayer is at the top of people's lists, with Dancing on My Own and Simply the Best as close seconds.

The members of the band are professional musicians whose talent is obvious. We had an aspiring Broadway actor sing during our wedding ceremony, and he could not stop talking about how incredible the musicians in the band were! But more than that, the musicians seemed happy to be there and honored to play our reception when I introduced myself to them throughout the night. DR even came to our table to introduce himself to me, which I thought was such a classy and kind move.

All in all, our wedding day was one of the best days of our lives, and 45 Riots played a major part in that. So I just wanted to thank the entire 45 Riots team -- you were all incredible to work with, and Steph and I will be singing your praises to anyone we meet who is looking for a band. And please let us know if you play any shows open to the public -- we would love to come and support you, and I'm sure we can find some other wedding guests who would love to join.

My best friend had 45 Riots at her wedding in November 2021. We loved them so much that we recommended them to two other couples, and they were just as good at those weddings. When it was time for our wedding, we didn't look at any other bands. My husband is in a band and 45 Riots was so accommodating! They let his band play and even let him crash the stage and sing on a few Springsteen songs. Their team is so responsive and collaborative. Prep Process: We loved working with Manny and Angelica throughout our preparation process – they completely heard us in our likes, dislikes, desires, vibes, must-plays. We needed a band that would play music that spoke to both of our families’ tastes, sensibilities, and cultural reference points, and they more than delivered. They selected the perfect musicians and vocalists to thread the needle on Motown, classic rock, R&B, soul, funk, and “Songbird” to boot. Christine McVie’s spirit was conjured in that ballroom.

Investment & Value: “Whatever you’re paying this band, it’s not enough,” my uncle said at our wedding. Every person – Every! Single! Person! – came up to us and gushed about how simply unmatched 45 Riots is. You want a song? Any song? They can do that song. They can do that song better than the original. One of my best friends works in the wedding industry – he did 28 weddings in the 2025 season – and he said 45 Riots is the best band, hands down, he’s ever heard. Friends asked if 45 Riots gave concerts, because we would all go. We would’ve danced for four more hours if they let us.

Creative & Execution: You’ve never seen a band song list so long. We could’ve had five wedding receptions with the number of songs we wanted to hear. Tell them what you want, sure, but seriously, trust the professionals! Whatever they come up with will be better than anything you could’ve dreamed of. Our 11-piece band played nonstop, flowing from one song right into the next, running mash-ups that got the crowd going crazy. Have you ever done a Soul Train into a Hora into Boots on the Ground? Well, 45 Riots has, and it ruled. They completely fed off of our crowd – they built synergy with us that ratcheted up throughout the night. Our only regret is that it had to end!

45 riots made our wedding the most unforgettable banger our guests have ever attended. If you want your wedding band to be a positive reflection of your good taste, look no further. Some elements of our partnership that were particularly impressive:

Effort: we were looking for a high-energy jazz fest late night vibe. Our team dug deep in their archives to share examples that offered confidence they could deliver before winning our business.

Customization: we highlighted 150 tunes from the 1000 on their song list and they did a freakin fantastic job putting them into a setlist that lit the dance floor on fire. They also were incredibly gracious having guests sit in with them with proper advance. Oh, and they even gave us input on the vocalists from their roster we would have day of! Lightyears ahead of others in the business in terms of service & comms.

Chops: all the individual players were expert craftspeople. They played together effortlessly and output a thick, syrupy, pocketed wall of sound that captivated our guests from the jump and did not let go. Text book sum being greater than its parts.

Professionalism: they are a true turnkey operation, their techs had the place dialed in perfectly, everyone was kind and engaging and there's nothing more we could have asked of them. Their advance process left absolutely no stone unturned, and if music so important to you, these cats will deliver beyond your wildest imagination. Book them now while you can.

They were so easy to work with and accommodated all of our requests to ensure the night felt like us. While we had so many amazing vendors, 45 Riots set the tone of our wedding. They ensured there was music for every age group - so much so that literally every person was on the dance floor. Thank you 45 Riots!!

You cannot go wrong with 45 Riots as your choice of band. They were the stars of our wedding reception. They brought such incredible energy to the event that our dance floor literally did not stop for 3 and a half hours (aside for a few breaks for food and speeches).

Our vocalists were Inaya, Freedom, and JayRo and their unique blend of voices made all of our song choices feel like studio renditions. The musicians and the production team also deserve a strong shout out for how much they stood out – so many of our guests had glowing words!

Finally, we’d just like to highlight how easy they were to work with. From their flexibility in meeting times, to their administrative team, to their communication around logistics and snags, they were prompt and professional with the whole process.

45 Riots were one of the biggest highlights of our wedding! They performed with so much energy and professionalism, and everyone there was blown away by them! We saw them perform at two of our friends’ weddings and now my best man is having him play at his wedding! They are world class talents and made our evening so special.
