We cannot recommend this band highly enough! They absolutely knocked it out of the park and brought the best energy from the first song to the last. The dance floor was packed all night, and our guests haven't stopped talking about how incredible they were. So many people told us it was the best wedding band they had ever seen!!

One of the most special moments of the night was when my husband played the drums with the band. Jonathan and the team went above and beyond by encouraging him to do it and even learning a special song for the performance. It became one of the biggest highlights of our wedding and is a memory we'll cherish forever (and it was EPIC)!!

Working with Jonathan and the entire team was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. They are unbelievably talented, professional, and truly care about creating an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a band that will keep your guests on the dance floor all night and make your wedding feel extraordinary, look no further. They exceeded every expectation, and we are so grateful they were part of our wedding day.

Spectacular! It’s the only word that can come close to describing our experience with Great Family Artists. This is not a “wedding band” in any traditional or typical sense. What they provide goes above and beyond: This is a group of musicians that deserves far more recognition for their supreme talents and delivery.

Throughout our experience leading up to and during our wedding reception in May 2026, we felt like a part of their close-knit team. Over several meetings, their leaders got to know us, ensured they understood our vision and desires, and ultimately built and achieved them perfectly. That included ensuring they played our favorite songs and carried out our ideas — including a special mom-son dance with a surprise twist. In the end, we felt more like VIPs at a private concert than just another client.

During and after our wedding reception, the first thing all our friends and family said to us was, “How did you find them?!” We are VERY glad we did, and we would strongly recommend that other couples hire Great Family Artists to provide an unforgettable experience. It could be the best decision you make before your event!

Couldn't recommend GFA more for a wedding or a party! The band was very professional with planning, setlist creation, coordination with our venue and other vendors. The band itself was incredible from our wedding ceremony, to the cocktail hour to the reception. The setlist was perfect and melded all of the music we wanted perfectly - the dance floor impossible to leave! We had the best night ever and left the dancefloor sparingly. In the weeks after our wedding an overwhelming amount of the attendees told us it was the best wedding band they had ever seen. So thankful for GFA - they made our wedding night so special. Could not recommend the team and the band more, they absolutely crushed!!

From top-to-bottom, Great Family Artists was absolutely amazing. In our initial stages of planning, we were between them and another group, the other one being a little more “famous.” We were generally a little anxious because our venue was not a typical wedding venue (restaurant in Greenpoint, Nura), and we were unsure whether an 8-9 piece band could fit comfortably. Their bandleader Jonathan Huvard fully sealed the deal by offering to trek over to Greenpoint, hang out for a couple hours, and generally assuage all concerns in person. That was the level of care and professionalism we got from GFA throughout. From a logistics perspective, they were willing to cut their setup time in HALF to account for the time constraints of the restaurant. Everything leading up was catered to us specifically—every call was about our musical preferences and tastes, but also about who we were, how we met, our general vibe, etc—in order to curate the perfect wedding experience for us. And that’s honestly what it was. My wife and I both walked down the aisle to relatively obscure songs (she, “I Wish I Was,” by the Avett Brothers, me, “Concerning Hobbits” from LOTR lol), both of which they played acoustically and beautifully on guitar/piano. The actual performance was insane. Escalated perfectly from our entrance song (Shakedown Street) to the very end. Not to mention, we’ve been to one billion weddings, but I’m telling you that was the best hora we’ve ever experienced. All of our married friends were blown away by the performance and the unmarried ones asked about their contact. We’re so lucky to have found them and would be happy to speak on their behalf to anyone!

From the intro call to the last song of the night, Great Family Artists went above and beyond every step of the way! We got married at Nura, a restaurant in Brooklyn, and had a very non-traditional set-up for the reception, one that involved a very tight area for the band. I was dead set on having a live band for our wedding but was concerned about the spacing, and Jonathan (owner of GFA) met me at the restaurant to put my worries at ease before I even signed the contract. From the initial call and that in-person meeting, I knew we had a great partnership on our hands. Throughout all the planning calls, we felt like GFA was genuinely listening to our wants/dreams for the big night and they were really tailoring the entertainment to our tastes. I was very adamant about not having a “cookie cutter” playlist and we wanted the music to transition as the party transitioned: from the ceremony acoustics to vibey funk at cocktail hour, then properly building the reception intensity as the guests’ energy escalated, and then eventually delivering the best Hora we’ve ever seen. GFA genuinely exceeded every expectation I ever had! I am so so so indebted to their team for giving us great guidance, incredible setlists curated for us, and delivering an unforgettable night!

Where do we even BEGIN?! Great Family Artists was the absolute best part of not only our entire wedding day, but the whole planning process. From our very first call with Taylor, to our check-ins with Bryan, to our very fun musical "homework", everything culminated into an absolutely AMAZING wedding night. We had a jazzy cocktail hour trio playing some of our favorite songs, then a 9 piece band with 2 horns for the reception. One of our guests said he'd "never seen a dance floor that was like velcro all night" before. We are one month out from our wedding and we are STILL getting compliments on our band... they're just that good. Kamal was the band leader and was so fun, talented, inclusive of every guest old and young, and really got the party started and kept it high the whole way through. Every single member of the band was SO talented and FUN! Truly I could go on and on about how absolutely incredible the entire Great Family Artists experience was from start to finish. I'll end with this: if you want a packed dance floor, people from all ages dancing their shoes off (literally), and to hear for a month straight how incredible your band/music was... BOOK THEM!

OH MY GOODNESS. I can't say enough great things about this company and band! Almy family is from New Orleans and we wanted a lively and talented band for our wedding that reminded us of NOLA! GFA KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! Not only was Bryan (our MC and coordinator) incredible but the communication, thoughtfulness, and happiness the whole team brought to the wedding process was amazing. We love this band and will find any excuse to use them in the future. I can't recommend this company enough and truly this team made our wedding night so special and fun! This is by far and away the best wedding band I have ever heard. I'm not just saying it because it was our wedding. From the very beginning they spent time getting to know us as a couple and understand our music taste. From there it was a completely curated experience. My husband and I are huge music rans and met at a Bruce Springsteen cover band and having a few Bruce songs were important to us. They not only played a few but we also got to go up on stage for the last song and sing with the band! They also recommended having a private last dance just us and the band at the end and it was one of the most memorable moments of the day. They did an amazing job incorporating songs we wanted them to learn but also build a setlist that had a range of songs to get all the guests involved. Every single guest was on the dancefloor (even family members that usually don't get up from their chairs). They sounded AMAZING, and got the crowd involved any chance they could. We had a conga line that was absolutely electric. They are anything but a typical wedding band. If you want a curated, off the beaten path wedding band experience (and the most fun party of your life), GFA is for you. I had multiple people come up to me after and tell me it was the most fun they've ever had at a wedding. And a few of my friends who are engaged ask me for their contact info. They are the best kept secret in terms of wedding bands and we are so honored to have worked with them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great Family Artists just played at our Rocky Mountain wedding and they were AMAZING! The team was easy to work with from the start, and they curated an amazing vibe on the dance floor. Throughout the night guests kept complementing on how fantastic our band was!

We absolutely loved having GFA at our wedding. They absolutely crushed it. The dance floor was full the entire night. All of our guests said it was like they were at a concert. We had a Jewish wedding, so having a great Hora dance was a huge priority and they helped us to accomplish that. For many guests it was the longest Hora they had ever done.They did an incredible job of taking our ingredients playlist to make a great setlist for the party. It was a combo of newer and older songs and a song that they learned just for us. They ended the night with so much energy and they brought us up on stage to close out the night. They also worked with one of our family members so that she could sing a tribute to their grandmother. They were also great at being organized and keeping us organized about prepping before the wedding. They met with us a multiple occasions to make sure we were all on the same page and offered great advice about what music to play at different parts of the day and they all turned out to be great suggestions. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and we highly recommend hiring them for your wedding.
