Linda and Wendy at the Neighborhood Club were fantastic. They were responsive to every call and email we sent, worked with us to make the ceremony space what we wanted, coordinated with all our vendors, and made everyone feel listened to, taken care of, and ready for a good time. The Neighborhood Club was large enough to fit our wedding of 150 people but still felt intimate with its living room setting for the ceremony and the beautiful ballroom for the reception. Our older guests and those that aren't big dancers really appreciated having the living room area to sit in during the reception, as it allowed people to relax and talk if they didn't want to dance. The stage in the ballroom also made for a great place for the DJ to set up. We also were able to drop off all our decorations and favors, etc. a couple days before the wedding and Linda and Wendy took over for us and made sure everything was set up exactly as we wanted.

Linda, especially, was just lovely and delightful to work with and continuously checked in with us throughout the night to make sure everything was going well and to see if we needed anything. The staff was pleasant, the food was great, and they truly let us make the wedding our own. They were not so strict that we couldn't personalize aspects of the venue to make them fit our personalities and tastes. They are also reasonably priced compared to many other venues we looked at, and they were even willing to work with us on cost because we were having a winter wedding.

I would recommend them to anyone!

We couldn't have been happier with our experience at The Neighborhood Club of Quincy for our wedding reception! Both Wendy & Linda were very attentive and helpful right from the beginning of our planning. The facility was absolutely beautiful & the food was excellent! We got so many compliments on how lovely and wonderful our wedding was & how everyone had such a great time. I am so happy we had our wedding here :-)

The Neighborhood Club is a lovely venue nestled in historic Quincy with the Adams mansion nearby. As you drive up to the club, the beautifully manicured grounds and well maintained property are a welcoming sight that beckon you to enter and enjoy. A focal feature of the club, is the exquisite fireplace and mantle located in the "living room" which is the entry to the ballroom. Meticulously cared for, the venue exudes a feel of days gone by, of luxury, style and class. But a venue is meaningless without a professional staff catering to every detail. As a family, we were thrilled with the dedication and professionalism of the event coordinators. We had the pleasure of dealing with GM Marty McGovern and his top notch team of Wendy and Linda. Over the course of the year, as we planned the wedding, they were always availble to address our concerns, desires, and questions. Phone calls and emails were always returned on a timely manner and with a cheerful response. The wedding was stunning, and all are wishes came true down to the last detail. The menu selection is quite varied, and the quality and presentation of the food is superb. The waitstaff, outfitted in dress uniforms, were attentive and pleasant to all our guests. Their courteous service was greatly aprreciated. I would highly reccommend The Neighborhood Club for any and all functiions, and, as a family, we will definitely use this facility again.

My husband and I had our daughter's wedding reception there. It was beautiful. Linda the coordinator was fantastic. I don't remember all the names but I have to give a huge thank you to the staff for making this day an unforgetable one. They were all very friendly, attentive, and made us feel at home. The food was awesome as was the facilities. I will be forever thankful for everything they did for us to make our daughter's wedding day so special.

The Neighborhood Club is a beautiful location for a wedding. The rooms are decorated in such an exquisite manner and the guests have not stopped raving about how beautiful everything was. The food is to die for and whereas at most wedding venues, you leave hungry, you will not feel this way after leaving the Neighborhood Club. The food is delicious and the servings are quite large. If I had to do the wedding all over again, I would not pick any other place. The Neighborhood Club is my number one choice!

If you want a venue with charm, fabulous food and drink and the easiest staff to work with-check out NCQ. All of our guest could not stop talking about how charming it was with the huge fireplace, hardwood floors, beautiful large windows, etc. We had our ceremony outside, a wonderful cocktail hour and then dinner and dacing all night. Plenty of room to dance surrounded by our 14 tables. No one felt crowded, and I loved that you had other areas to go if you needed to (living room and bar).

My husband and I got married at the Neighborhood Club in October (2009). The Club is a total "hidden gem!" We actually had our ceremony at the Club as well. We got married in the "living room" area in front of the fireplace. It was sweet and romantic and perfect! We took pictures outside after the ceremony in an area with a pergola (which can be used for outdoor ceremonies). We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect evening!
During our planning the staff at the club was super helpful! They don’t have “packages” there so we were free to choose any vendors that we wished to have. The managers, Marty, Linda, and Wendy, all offered suggestions for vendors. We actually chose our photographer and cake through recommendations made by Marty! Wendy was our day-of coordinator and she made sure everything ran smoothly. Both Wendy and Marty were happy to answer any questions this silly bride-to-be had!
The food was phenomenal. From appetizers during cocktail hour to dinner everything was absolutely delicious. They have many options for dinner. We chose a buffet-style dinner and were so happy we did! With beef, chicken, potato, vegetable and pasta, there was something for every guest, no matter what their “tastes” were like! The staff at the club were also happy to accommodate any guest with dietary issues, (of course I would recommended letting them know ahead of time!)

I agree that The Neighborhood Club is the best-kept secret of the South Shore. The Club has beautiful grounds, gorgeous oriental rugs inside, original woodwork, a wood-burning fireplace, and the ballroom is exquisite. It has a grand feeling, while being cozy at the same time. We were married in front of the fireplace. It was the perfect setting. We had 118 guests and yet it kept that intimate feel. The staff was fabulous! They were there for every step of the planning process and helped with any questions that we had. On the day of the wedding everyone complimented the food. It was delicious. It was definitly a gourmet meal. The grounds outside and the fireplace gave our photographer beautiful backgrounds both inside and out. I also loved the fact that there were three rooms for everyone to gather in. If someone wanted to talk while the DJ was playing, they could go out and sit by the fire or go into the private bar room and chat. I received so many compliments on my wedding. I heard more than once that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and I owe that to the neigborhood club. I will recommend them to anyone I know who is getting married.

I have to say when i got enganged we where looking everywhere to find somewhere to have our reception kinda in between so it was easier for our family and friends to join our wonderful celebration, After looking at several places i told my faince about this place that i went to when i had functions from my jobs,it was very comfortable and made you feel at home. After we looked at it we fell in love with the place and then showed my parents and they absoultey loved it. Just walking in as you come up the stairs a beaitful lounge area with a fireplace , nice oriental rugs and peaceful atmosphere, we decided to booked it and have our memorable day in which made it to feel like a Cinderalla fairy tale happliy every after special day. We had such a great time , that we even did our wedding pictures before the cermony in which they came out beaituful. All the staff members where excellent, they did such a great job with the food, the cocktail hour which looked great with the Swan Ice Scupltures. The Ballroom was like being in cinderlllas ballroon with the lights,how every table was presented and the way everything just went so smoothly through the evening. We had the best time down to the dancing and food and how everything turned out the way i expected it too. The staff at the neighborhood club where very flexiblle in what we needed for thet day. The flowers where just wonderful, Our Wedding cake was made by my aunt for a wedding gift that brought great sentimental to me , my flowers where done by my sister's aunt in PA who traveled with all the flowers and put them together the night before the wedding. I have to say that the food was great, the service was just wonderful. We hope to have many special occaissions such as bady shower and Christening , there is know where else i would have it to spend with my family. We hope to share We had the best time of our lives and still today we have alot of family and friends who really enjoyed our wedding day.

The ballroom is beautiful, the fireplace in the cocktail area is phenomial, the food is outstanding, and everyone kept telling me what a great time they had. Also convenient was proximity to Quincy Marriott for out of town guests. Plenty of parking. Two enthuiastic thumbs up! I could not think of a more beatiful reception venue!

Although we booked more than a year in advance, this was not a requirement. We just happened to plan early for every part of our wedding.
The neighborhood club was phenominal!! The service was great, the food was scrumptious and the room looked so beautiful. Our coordinator, Linda Crockett, was so kind and very helpful to us. We were very late getting our rehearsal started but Linda was very accomodating. We were booked to have our ceremony in a small side room but at the last minute, Linda arranged for us to use the larger and very gorgeous livingroom ( which is normally reserved for weddings in the grand ballroom ) for our ceremony. She went way above and beyond what anyone may have done to make our wedding day as special as it was.
Overall, the service and value we received for the price we paid was incredible.

The Neighborhod Club was a perfect venue. Had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff were great both in planning and day of. It was so nice to have someone assigned to the bride and groom to bring us drinks, help us get food, etc. And the day-of coordinator worked really well with my DJ to get everything, well, coordinated. We did a buffet/station sort of thing with passed apps. There was so much food and it was so good. They are strict about carding at the bar. They carded the groom!

Best-kept secret on the South Shore. Wonderful old-fashioned ballroom, excellent food, wonderful attentive service. Not too pricey. We had a winter wedding with a fire in the great fireplace; Christmas decorations; gorgeous venue. Worth checking out if you are getting married in the Boston area and prefer a more traditional place with character, not a big hotel. Plenty of parking here also. The food was the major plus. They take great pride in the gourmet food.
