Overall, I had a positive experience with Knife and Fork. After my original planner left unexpectedly, Minda stepped in and took over. She was very accommodating and flexible. At times there was miscommunication, however, all instances were corrected. The rentals and linens ended up looking exactly as we had wanted and the food was delicious. Our wedding day was more than we could have ever hoped for and Knife and Fork played an integral part in making that happen. I highly recommend them.

Minda is a high-energy person with a true positive attitude. She is organized, responsive, well-respected by other vendors, professional, knowledgeable and an exceptional business woman. Minda truly cares about her clients and treats her clients with a special feeling of warmth coupled with a down to earth business attitude.

Our wedding ceremony and reception proceeded exactly as Minda described with no missteps. Her initial estimate of the per person cost was exact.

I cannot say enough about Minda Merwin Metz of Minda Events. She MADE MY EVENT. My wedding was far more beautiful than anything I could have ever IMAGINED, and she was 100% responsible. From going to the site on her off-time to scout out the best event layout, to guiding my through the best food, china, and linen selections to make it all come together, to her seamless coordination of the event of which she was present the entire time... Minda has years of experience, is GIFTED at what she does, and it shows. The best thing you can possibly do for your wedding is to put it in this woman's hands. It was the number one compliment we heard over the over from our guests after the wedding, "Who was the caterer/event coordinator?" She is incredible. For the services that were provided to us, my husband and I agree that we would have paid double what we were charged, that's how amazing we found EVERYTHING to be.

Minda was truly the key to a picture perfect wedding. Her advice on food choices, linens, and all the extras was such a help.
My family and I felt like we had our own wedding planner. She supplied an events time-line and a list of things to bring to her 3 days before the wedding. Once at the reception I never gave a thought to anything except having a good time. Everyone at the reception commented on how delicious the food was and how nice everything was. Every recommendation we got from Minda was wonderful. She recommend our D.J. (Frank Young) who also was fabulous. We plan on using Minda when our 2nd daughter gets married and I would strongly recommend her to anyone who asks.

Hire Minda to do your wedding! She is a joy to work with throughout the entire process! Although she is working with so many brides at the same time, she has a way to still make you feel like you are the only one she is working with...she is that attuned to making your wedding perfect. We actually catered with Knife and Fork; however, Minda was the one who ran the show. I would follow Minda where ever she goes. I sent the following note to Minda and it sums up my experience....

I LOVED my wedding! I still think of it non-stop…it was everything I wanted! I wanted to thank you for EVERYTHING you did to make it all come together so perfectly. The room really turned out magnificent. I still can’t believe the weather cooperated for that window of time we needed it to for the ceremony! I can’t say enough good things about you. I still have people telling me how good the food was, especially the crab cakes! This has even come from some of my very particular food critic friends. The presentation of it all was gorgeous! I was thrilled to see all the pictures you took…some were so artistic and it was neat to see pictures of the event from a catering perspective. I was so happy too with your recommendations of Juan Carlos and Rocio Diaz. The centerpieces with the florescent tea lights were stunning as well as the cake…it was so simple but looked so elegant. It was a great feeling knowing that on my wedding day, I didn’t need to worry about the details because you were running the show. Thanks for everything…the whole event (including me walking down the wrong aisle) was perfect!

Without Minda, I don't know if my wedding would have happened. She was THAT crucial and wonderful to every stage of our planning. Not only does she make absolutely delicious food, but she held my hand throughout the entire process and made sure that our wedding day was perfect. Minda will make your big day wonderful in every aspect, and she will make sure you don't stress while it's happening!! I give her my absolute highest recommendation.

Minda was more than a caterer. She was a day of planner. She helped us figure out what we wanted for our day. She gave great insight with her many years of experience but really helped us to determine what worked for us versus what has been popular. She contacted all the vendors that were participating on our day to sync up with them. She created a day of event timeline which I was able to not only share with the vendors to get everyone on the same page but also share with my wedding party who were assisting with details (i.e. toasts, handing out tips, dealing with any issues etc.). That was tremendously helpful and one less thing we had to do. At the reception she was more of a day of planner and worked with the other vendors to alert them to the events as they were happening (i.e. dances, toasts, cuttings etc.) She even scheduled us to eat first to ensure we did and could then work the room while the guests were being served. As a result we were able to literally say hello to everyone! The food was outstanding as was her wait staff! We received tons of compliments on the food. That can make or break your wedding in my opinion!
At the end of the night they packed up any left over alcohol for us and took it back with them so we didn't have to worry about and could pick it up later. She even sent us home with 2 more meals to eat later that night. We did that after everyone went to bed LATE and it made our next day easier as we were starving when the adrenaline rush from the day was over!
Give Minda your budget and ask her to discuss any extras with you to ensure you stay as close to it as possible.
She will be the first person I call for any future catering needs and I cannot recommend her enough. She's a professional through and through but makes it as easy for you as she can. Trust her and you won't go wrong!

We hired Minda for our June wedding last summer at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. She worked with us to created a menu with local and organic foods for a vegetarian spread within our budget. Everyone is still talking about how great the food was. Only one of our 100 guests were vegetarian and no one even missed the meat. Minda also helped us select the colors for our decor. She was great to work with. Our wedding was a dream. I would highly recommend Minda!
