Gail was amazing! i literally told her what colors/ textures i wanted and she put together the most amazing flowers! i felt like i got $5000 worth of flowers for much much less. There was no stress involved at all....it was such a wonderful surprise to see what she put together!

Gail is awesome. I was happy with all aspects of our experience with her. She was very easy to work with and very organized. When we initially met with her to discuss ideas it was clear that she was very knowledgeable and experienced. Gail did floral arrangements which were attached to the corners of a bamboo archway which we were married under and they were gorgeous! I also LOVED mine and my bridesmaids bouquets. And the centerpieces at our reception turned out beautiful as well. I would recommend her to anyone!

Words can't even describe how amazing all of our flowers were for our wedding. I just hoped, when I met with her to go over our ideas, that they would be everything I wanted. It was so much more. It was like she took the image that was in my head of how our wedding would look, and it was PERFECT!! Everytime I had a question, or had to drop something off, she was available. Also, when we were done picking all of different flowers we would need, I asked for the price, and when she told me I said "that's it!" So do yourself a favor, if you want the perfect flowers at an amazing price, definitely use Gail Vanderlaan!!

Gail's flowers are beautiful and very cost effective. She is willing to set up AND take down, if this is something you want from her. Gail is very accomodating with her services and keeps in touch with you throughout the wedding process. I was more than pleased with the flowers for my wedding. Thank you Gail!

The flowers were beautiful and Gail knew just what I wanted and delivered everything. Everything was perfect and everyone commented on the beautiful flowers.

Gail Vander Laan did such an incredible job with the flowers for our wedding. My mother and I initially met with Gail more than a year before the wedding - I think even before we had decided on colors even! (She let us meet once with her early on to talk about seasonal flowers, the plan for our date, and to browse through picture ideas and to get my likes and dislikes) At that point we came up with a rough draft idea. We met with her again in the spring prior to my wedding at which time we knew colors and had a better idea of what we were going for with the flowers (again, I brought pictures / ideas of other bouqets, centerpieces, etc. for what I liked). Gail was very professional and extremely helpful in "deciphering" my ideas and putting them into reality. She came up with very personalized designs and followed the colors we talked about to a tee. (Our wedding colors were Charcoal Grey and Yellow ~ the girls wore grey dresses and carried bouqets of white and all different shades of yellow flower) Everything about the flowers were beautiful!

This wasn't something that I was very excited about initially (not big into flowers, etc.) and something that I didn't think I had any opinion on. Gail was very helpful in taking my semi-nonchalant or laid-back attitude and helping me come up with something that I loved, very easily! She was very responsive to any questions that we had and was even able to change some of the boutinere orders a couple days before the wedding. Highly recommended!!

I had the chance to have Gail as my florist for my wedding, which took place on June 25th, 2010. At the beginning, I didn't have a precise idea of what I wanted so I told her what I had in mind, how I pictured my wedding... simple & elegant, summery, not too formal...
The result was amazing. She really met my needs and surpassed my expectations. She is a great professional (on time, full of ideas and advice, flexible and able to respect the budget I had). I would highly recommend future brides to trust her!

Gail did a wonderful job with all my flowers and decorations!! I got so many compliments from my guests, and the staff at the country club where we had the reception. She was so easy to work with and gave great ideas since I don't know a whole lot about flowers. She was reasonably priced and very flexible with my quote as I had to change the number of bouquets and centerpieces. I would highly reccommend GVL Floral to any bride that needs one less thing to worry about on the big day. She took care of everything for me, and it was beautiful!!

My flowers were almost perfect. My husband's did not hold up as well, but I loved my girls' flowers and my own. The cost was a little steep in comparison to a few others; however, she totally understood what I wanted...

Gail is absolutely amazing! Her prices were so fabulous and the flowers were GORGEOUS! I met her after seeing some reviews and having a major falling out with my previous florist. She is very quick to respond to emails, very flexible and her value is amazing! I highly suggest using Gail for your flowers!

Gail worked with me to get the look I wanted while staying in my budget. She provided suggestions based on her experience and has several photos of past jobs for you to view. She is very accomodating and even used flowers she had in stock to make a "mock" bouqet when I needed a visual.

My sister has a totally different theme and is using Gail for her wedding too. I went to her appointment and Gail provided the same level of service and attention to detail, along with a whole new floral theme!

As someone who knows nothing about flowers, I was at a loss when it came to deciding on bouquets and centerpieces. Gail made all my decisions easy. I showed her 2 pictures, vaguely described my theme and what I was looking for, and told her what I wanted to spend. She took care of the rest! She knew which flowers would last longest based on the setting and venue, which were in season to give me the best value, and threw in a few splurges to make my arrangements look expensive. She has an eye for color schemes and a knack for knowing what will look great. When I walked into my reception, everything was bigger and better than I had imagined. Easy to contact and even easier to trust, this is one vendor Grand Rapids brides can't do without.

Gail was an amazing florist! We loved working with her and she knows what she is doing. Her floral arrangements in our ceremony and reception sites were amazing and many people commented that my wedding had the most beautiful flowers that they had ever seen. I would definitely recommend Gail.
