The Poppy and The Peony

We hired Bunny for floral design and event coordination for our wedding and she went above and beyond to make our wedding absolutely perfect. After 9 months of planning we had to completely change our wedding location (from Kalamazoo to Detroit), venue (from an indoor Loft space to an outdoor patio), and our guest count (from 200 people to 40) due to the pandemic. Replanning an entire wedding in 3 months is not ideal, but Bunny made it much easier and decreased all of my anxiety and stress. Every time I would get off a phone call with her, I would tell my fiancé, “Wow. I feel so much better. Bunny is just so great.” Her creative ideas and helpful suggestions throughout the planning process were greatly appreciated. The floral arrangements she created were the perfect combination of all my Pinterest pins and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. She created an incredibly detailed timeline for the weekend of the wedding with items on it I would have never even thought about had she not brought them up. She helped run our rehearsal the night before the wedding, and set up all the floral arrangements and décor in the church and at our reception venue. All I had to do the weekend of our wedding was enjoy my time with family, friends and my husband. Bunny was an absolute pleasure to work with and we highly recommend hiring her as both a florist and event coordinator to make your wedding day beautiful and stress free. You will not be disappointed!

The Poppy and the Peony did full floral service for my wedding on 5/31/25 and it was everything I could have asked for and more; I was blown away by all of the florals, from bouquets to pew flowers to centerpieces. My bridal bouquet was the most beautiful bouquet I've ever seen, and my wedding florals will always be something I remember and smile about. The flowers really made our wedding vision come together in the venue, and you can tell Bunny puts SO much effort into making the florals unique and luxurious; our pieces were filled with large, fresh, vibrant and high quality flowers (that smelled amazing). In addition, the corsages and boutonnieres for our family members were the perfect touch and they all loved them! She made the process of getting a quote so easy, and planning the florals was actually really fun because I could give her my vision and she helped make it a reality!
Bunny was also my month/day-of coordinator, and I mean it when I say I couldn't have enjoyed my wedding day without her help. My wedding day was actually the greatest day of my life, and I can really say I was able to take in the moments of the day throughout. No one was asking me questions, and when it was time to go down the aisle, Bunny helped me feel so calm. She has an incredibly kind and calming presence and it was just what I needed on my wedding day, she helped me just feel happy and excited. She learned family dynamics, found out who to coordinate with, and was SO organized. The things she asked me during our meetings practically helped me plan half the wedding. After the wedding day, many of our friends and family complimented our florals and Bunny herself, and we went home the night of our wedding absolutely thrilled with how beautiful things turned out and how much we enjoyed our day. We are still so happy a month after. We really felt like she was there for us and the wedding as a whole, making it all come together and being our friend in the process. The service coordination was clear, smooth, and flexible, and Bunny herself goes to great lengths to be there for you as a bride and get you what you want. You can really trust her, and I don't have anything but great things to say about her abilities as a florist and coordinator!

I got my wedding bouquet, head table greenery garland, and flower girl’s petals from The Poppy and the Peony. The petals were a beautiful mixture of whites and my wedding colors. The greenery garland for the head table was gorgeous, very full and lush on the table. My wedding bouquet was breathtaking. It was very full with trailing greenery falling down over the edge. The colors were a perfect and stunning mixture of whites, tans, oranges, yellows, and burgundy that complimented the wedding colors perfectly! Bunny was awesome to work with, she is so creative and attentive: you can really tell she loves what she does. Bunny made the process so stress-free and easy. I am beyond thrilled with the florals I got from The Poppy and the Peony and would absolutely recommend them to anybody.

We used Bunny as our florist and wedding coordinator - it couldn't have gone better! Our interaction first with Bunny began with a lovely and in depth meeting about our hopes for flowers at our wedding. After walking through some questions, we ended our meeting and then Bunny sent a Flower Preview entailing all we had discussed with other options as well. This preview was set up like a power point with photos from the bride's bouquet to the flowers for the arch, boutonnières, and more! After finalizing every detail and being in constant communication, she sent over a Google Doc in order to fill out information about our wedding, vendors, rehearsals, etc. When the day of my wedding came, all I had to do was set out any decor I wanted to use and as my bridal party, mom, and I all got ready with snacks and drinks she provided, Bunny was furiously decorating the ceremony and reception space. By the time we were done getting ready, the space was complete and BEAUTIFUL! The day could not have gone smoother - as a bride, I was actually relaxed! As the ceremony continued, Bunny worked with my DJ, photographer, and videographer to make sure everything was as it should be. When my food arrived, the caterers had not brought the chicken (one of two main courses). Bunny took care of it by calling the vendor, letting me know it's getting taken care of, and even made an announcement to guests that the chicken was late. Even when something wrong, Bunny made everything feel right. I am incredibly thankful for her help, calm demeanor, and advice she offered along the way. You couldn't choose a better florist or coordinator for your wedding or event! 100 out of 5 stars

Bunny, the owner of The Poppy and The Peony, is incredible at what she does.
