The WOW factor was the order of the day. The staff was fantastic. One of the factors in choosing Genoa Woods is that they only hold one event at a time. We had their undivided attention the whole evening. The wait staff was both friendly and accomodating. The chef met with us twice during the planning sessions to assure our tastes and the special needs of a few of our guests were met. The planning staff listened to our needs and improved them with thier suggestions.

Another factor in our choosing Genoa Woods was the location. It was easy to get to for out Guests as it is just of off I-96.
The staff at Genoa handled of guests lodging (even the last minute changes) at the Marriot Courtyard which is across the drive.

In short it was GREAT.

We chose Genoa Woods because after our first meeting, we knew that we would be completely taken care of. Members of the staff remembered us when we visited a second time and greeted us by name.
The difference between Genoa and other halls is huge. We were the only event in the hall. At other places we were going to have to share the building with other events, which meant some confusion between supplies, arrangements... We also liked the fact that we did not have to do any of the setup. We were instructed to bring in our centerpiece supplies and other decorations the Thursday before the wedding and give them a deion of how I wanted it to be arranged, and they did the rest. It turned out perfect!

There did seem to be a little miscommunication amongst all the servers at the hall, but nothing major that would have an effect on our evening.

I would choose to book at Genoa Woods anytime!
Plus...there is a nice hotel next door, I didn't have to think about any of my guests driving to a hotel after having too many drinks. We all just walked over to bed.

I was extrememly pleased with every aspect of my service from Genoa Woods. We held the reception at our home. Genoa Woods' staff was so helpful, from the day I placed my first call to the day of our wedding. The on-site staff for the reception was exceptional. I felt they went over the top in service. The food was excellent, exactly what was promised.
