We got married in the Club Room at the Roostertail in October 2021, and everything about our experience with this venue, staff, event planers was PERFECT. Nicole was our day-of coordinator, and she was so helpful over the entire course of wedding planning. From the moment I first reached out to the venue, she was on the phone with me that afternoon with a package totally tailored to us and our wedding vibe, and I could tell she truly cared about delivering us the best day ever. AND Roostertail makes planning and personalizing your wedding package super super easy. That kind of care eliminated sooo much stress during the planning process...and even on a hectic wedding prep morning, we never doubted everything at the venue was under control & would turn out beautifully.
Our wedding was just over 2 months ago now, and we're STILL getting stellar feedback from our guests about how much fun they had, how amazing the food was (we did cocktail style instead of plated sit-down dinner, and it was just *chef's kiss,* and so filling), how attentive/professional/friendly the staff were, and how beautiful the location was.
Literally, our wedding day would have gone so differently if we got married anywhere else, so I'm endlessly grateful we made the decision to put our day in the Roostertail team's hands.

As someone who works in the wedding industry in Boston I was very particular along with my wife about what we wanted, especially being out of state. From the first call to the day of, Nicole was amazing to work with and made us feel so comfortable. She was the first coordinator we talked to who truly was curious about what we wanted and why we wanted it. She and the staff answered all our questions (and we had a lot). Our day could not have worked out better. On the day of they made everything easy and helped us truly feel like the guests of honor. I couldn’t think of a better team than Nicole, Coleen, and the rest of the venue staff who worked to shape our day to be as memorable as we hoped it would be.

Every detail, every idea, all of the planning...this is the place that will do more than execute all of your dreams. They will surpass them. Na'Shelle is an amazing professional and is a great planning partner! The owners, staff, and venue are all about what makes Detroit the best.

What can I say about the Roostertail. They completely made our reception freaking amazing. From the moment we booked there, I knew I was dealing with a great place and a great sales person, Shawna. The Roostertail had so many nice added bonuses like a variety of linens to use in house (saved lots of money for a great look), chivari chairs, centerpiece options if you want them and obviously, a gorgeous venue. They went above and beyond in every possible way and I can't even say enough about them and Shawna.

Shawna let me email and call her so many times well in advance of our wedding with stupid questions and never getting annoyed with me. And that was just leading up to the wedding. The few months before, my communications and visits became more frequent and Shawna (and all the staff) were so helpful. I would go to play around with linens or check out the room and they let me come and go as I pleased. Shawna also let us sample some food at a party they were having so we could decide on the menu. She really helped us decide on things that work well and worked with us on our quirky requests like having just the salads plated and set out so people didnt' have to juggle two plates in the buffet line and getting us our Oberon for the bar. Shawna also allowed for my parents to charge a monthly payment every month until the wedding rather than waiting till the end...which my parents will be forever grateful for. We were able to upgrade just certain liqours as part of our contract, rather than the whole bar, and get appetizers and a late night snack...while staying at the Roostertail revenue minimum for a Saturday night wedding. They allowed us to drop off two car loads full of decor at the site the day before and they hauled it all off for us and locked it away for safe keeping. Talk about service. And this is just before May 9th.

May 9th. I hired a DOC to take care of a lot of set-up for the extensive candy buffet and parts of table decor (chair sashes, chargers). More to come on that review...pending further discussions. Shawna called me at 11AM the morning of the wedding, asking what she could get started on for us since all she wanted to do was help. That made me feel sooo good that she was taking such an active role in our wedding to make it phenomenal. When I walked into the room the day of the wedding, I was in shock and awe. It was more than I could have ever imagined. They set up the linens and the room in such a great way and I later found out, they set up our candy buffet, not our DOC as planned. It was more than I thought it could be. I had about 21 containers of my own, but the Roostertail contributed some and it was the biggest thing of candy I had ever seen. I think I made my little cousins' lives that night.

Anyways, the Roostertail also threw in a Signature Martini for us free of charge and our guests loved it. The waiters had trays floating around filled with them and it was such a nice touch that they did not have to do for us, but did. The food was outstanding, everyone loved it and even the chef came out to make sure everything was to our liking. We had White Castles as a midnight snack and I think that was the hit of the night...there were boxes lying around everywhere. An added nice thing that they did for us as we were waiting for the Omni shuttle to come back at the end of the night, the owners drove Steve and I to our hotel so we didn't have to wait. It was so thoughtful!

All in the all, the Roostertail made our wedding so fantastic, fun and we felt like celebrities with the way they treated us. It is not a cheap venue, but the quality of service and food is worth every penny. I wish I could start planning another party there!

The Roostertail was fabulous!! Our wedding day was perfect thanks to the team at the Roostertail. They went above and beyond to be sure that our day was perfect for us. The weather was not cooperating and then it cleared up at the last minute and they moved the set up from indoors to outdoors. They were very accommodating and Nicole our wedding planner was always on top of everything along the entire planning process. She was so much fun, personable and helpful so it made the wedding planning more fun than stressful.

I could not have imagined a better experience for our wedding day. I can't tell you how many people came up to me during and after the wedding telling me how perfect everything was and I could not agree more. We planned our wedding from out of state, and I literally did nothing except pick the food (which was OUTSTANDING) and make the seating chart. The rest was covered by the apparently superhuman Shawna.

At first, the cost seemed a little steep, especially since we weren't planning to spend our life savings on the wedding. However, once we learned what was included (dinner, open bar, desserts, linens, centerpieces, tax and gratuity) it was clear that the Roostertail is an excellent value. Beyond that, all the little things like helping us with the rehearsal, putting up all the decorations I brought, and even bringing us drinks during the post ceremony pictures were more than worth it! Shawna listened to everything I said and everything I wanted, and shared her expert advice when I wasn't quite sure. (suggesting sliders and pizza at the end of the night instead of spending the money on a champagne toast... brilliant and much appreciated by the guests!)

I really can't say enough good things about Shawna and the Roostertail. I am still in a daze about how perfectly everything went... I just can't believe how easy it was! We kept thinking up things that needed to be planned, just to realize that the Roostertail already had it covered. I would have my wedding there 100 times over!

The Roostertail is amazing! Erica was our wedding planner there and she made our day perfect! We loved every minute of our reception. They made our day flawless and beautiful! I highly reccomebd Erica and the entire staff there.

Our daughter's wedding, originally planned for 10.10.20 in Grosse Pointe was rescheduled during the pandemic for 7.1.21. Sadly, in January of 2021, the venue announced a major renovation and moved all weddings outdoors to a tent. Six days before the wedding, the tent was damaged in a storm, creating the need for a very quick venue change. In stepped the Roostertail, just 3 days before the wedding! From the moment we met Nicole and Michael, they were confident, reassuring, and positive they could create a dream wedding in only a few days. With so little time to make changes and notify guests, we had to trust Nicole and Michael and leave all the details to them. They exceeded our expectations in EVERY POSSIBLE WAY!
It is impossible to express the feeling walking into the Roostertail and then watching our daughter and son in law walk into the gorgeous Palm River room, with the absolutely breathtaking view. The entire staff was attentive, professional, and anticipated and met our needs before we even asked! Michael asked my favorite drink when we first met and ordered the malibu to make it, Nicole made sure I had that drink in hand all night long. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and received so many compliments. The owner, Tom Schoenith, even joined and shared stories and memories with our guests. During the evening they added a dry ice drink bar that was such a surprise and a hit with everyone! Guests were absolutely in awe of the Roostertail and their ability to create the night in a matter of days. Their attention to detail was incredible and they appeared to enjoy the night as much as we did. Nicole even created a slideshow of Lauren and Conner from Instagram pictures! Our only regret is that we didn't book the Roostertail from the start as their all inclusive package (food, cocktail hour, appetizers, premium bar, chiavari chairs, linens, table vases, outdoor covered ceremony deck overlooking the water, specialty drinks, and tax and gratuities) would have saved us time booking outside vendors and money.

The service that the Roostertail provides is superb! Shawna (my wedding coordinator) is a wedding angel! She is very helpful and readily available to assist you no matter the time of day. She has the patience of a saint for 1st time brides. Shawna is very professional and knowledgeable at her career.

I just had my wedding on April 16th of 2016 at the Roostertail and it was the most amazing day of my life. Shawna was so fun to work with and her staff were phenomenal they went above and beyond all expectations to ensure the night ran smoothly, made sure every detail was perfect and kept all of our needs fulfilled. They were ready for anything and everything. Some staff even stayed to ensure guests left safely. My husband, our parents and I have recieved dozens of messages and phone calls saying how amazing everything was. We experienced first hand what can come out of impeccable leadership. My ceremony was perfect my reception was perfect and the entire experience was absolutely amazing, a dream come true.
