We got married at the Roostertail in October 2025, and it was absolutely stunning. The recent renovations and waterfront location on the Detroit River created breathtaking views of the skyline, river, and even Canada. Our glass-enclosed room with panoramic windows gave us the perfect sunset backdrop. Inside, everything was immaculate with modern, elegant décor. The food and service were phenomenal, and the staff was organized, attentive, and genuinely warm—they truly made us feel like the only wedding that night. Our guests still rave about how beautiful everything was. It was one of the best days of our lives. Everything was perfect.. thank you, Roostertail!

Choosing The Colony Club as our wedding reception venue was one of the best decisions we made. After getting engaged, we toured multiple metro and downtown Detroit venues with the hope of finding something elegant, classic, and timeless. Many were beautiful—but when we walked into The Colony Club, we immediately felt that this was the one. The entire style and vibe were exactly what we were looking for. We fell in love with every space—from Bar Charles to the breathtaking Grand Ballroom. We were also impressed by how much was included without extra add-on costs: tables, chairs, food, liquor, signature drinks, and more. It made planning easier and helped us stay within budget. From our very first meeting, we worked with Amber, our sales manager, and she stayed with us up until the week of the wedding. Amber was absolutely exceptional throughout the entire process. She was helpful, organized, flexible, and so easy to communicate with. We met multiple times at the venue, both with and without her, while making decisions for the big day, and she was always available to answer questions, address concerns, and offer thoughtful advice. Amber took care of coordinating with our other vendors, and I never once felt worried about how things would come together. Even during the stressful week leading up to the wedding—when I was emailing and calling constantly—she was patient, reassuring, and truly amazing to work with. Now the food… wow. It was exceptional! We still have guests raving about everything—from the appetizers to the entrées. The service and quality exceeded all of our expectations, and friends and family continue to tell us what an incredible wedding it was. From our very first appointment with Amber to the moment our reception began, we could not imagine having our wedding anywhere else. We will always look back on our wedding day with so much gratitude, happiness, and appreciation that we chose The Colony Club. If you’re considering this venue, trust me—you will not regret it!

Rebecca went above and beyond helping us with our wedding. The ballroom was beautiful, lighting was just right and the food was AWESOME!!! It was the perfect day!

Sophie and her staff are fantastic! Super organized and very professional! Throughout the whole planning process they made us feel like royalty. This led into our wedding night with the staff continuing to make sure we were happy and our drinks were filled. Everyone was very helpful when bringing in items for the wedding as packing up everything at the end of the night! Thank you for making our wedding perfect!

Our wedding day was fantastic and went smoothly thanks to the professionalism and coordination from the staff at the Fillmore. Big thank you to Alix Heinz and Krysten Cole (our wedding coordinators) for being phenomenal from start to end and incredibly helpful/quick in answering all of our questions and concerns throughout the wedding planning. The communication executed by the Fillmore between all of our vendors was excellent and made us feel at ease as we came closer to the wedding day. The team did a great job in following through with details and organizing our itinerary in a way that was easy for us to communicate to our vendors. We appreciate Alix and Krysten meeting with our vendors when they needed to check out the theater and relaying any important info. to us as soon as they came up. We also know that facilitating a wedding for 500+ people is not easy and we were amazed to hear that the seating assignments went smoothly thanks to the Fillmore's assistance in directing people to their seats. Alix recommended several great vendors that we ended up using and we were happy with the turnout. She also offered helpful advice as she was recently a bride herself so it was nice to hear first-hand experiences from the Fillmore team. Thank you Detroit Fillmore for your event coordination services! It was truly a wedding dream come true for us.
