About this venue
Based in Owosso, Michigan, The Z Hall has been a gathering place for over a century. What began as a Czech fraternal lodge in 1916 was recently named Shiawassee County’s Best Wedding Venue by The Argus-Press’ Best of The Best. The character of that original building is very much alive inside.

The moment guests arrive, the building makes an impression. A wide wooden entrance porch set on stone columns opens into the main hall, where polished hardwood floors meet exposed brick walls and beams strung with soft white lights. Chandeliers cast a warm glow overhead. The space is rustic and refined. It photographs beautifully and feels even better in person.
Ceremonies can take place in the garden, where a hand-built wooden arbor frames the couple against a backdrop of perennial flowers. A private gazebo offers a quiet spot for a first look before the celebration begins. The bridal suite gives the wedding party a private space to get ready, and state-of-the-art AV equipment means every slideshow, video, and announcement lands exactly as planned. When it is time to dance, guests find their way to Michigan’s largest wooden dance floor.
Z Hall offers six distinct spaces: the Great Room, Garden, Bridal Suite, Bar Lounge, Legacy Room, and the Z House. The Z House is a private on-site lodge where the wedding party can stay the night. A rare offering that turns the celebration into a full destination experience, right here in Mid-Michigan.
The Z Hall accommodates up to 350 dinner guests and is open year-round, with off-season pricing available November through May. On-site catering, a full-service bar with a Michigan liquor license, tables, chairs, linens, and tableware are all included. So is a dedicated day-of coordinator. Cora Marsh has been part of The Z Hall since the doors opened in 2019. She manages the team, oversees every detail, and brings a personal investment to every event that you can feel from the first conversation. Couples mention her by name in nearly every review.
