Freedom Hill Banquet & Event Center

I don't usually write reviews but I had to in this case . . . our daughter was just married at Freedom Hill and we are still getting calls from guests about how great the venue and the food was. From the first visit to see the hall to gathering all out stuff after the event, Lynda and her team were exceptional. Lynda was patient and professional with every call and email we had in the months leading up to the wedding. Chef Gabby prepared a delicious meal - salmon, chicken piccata and the pork tenderloin with cherry chutney was a big hit. You know it's good when people tell you how much the enjoyed everything - even the salad - seriously - several guests commented specifically on the Michigan salad! Our dinner was served family style and the servings were hot and plentiful. Only suggestion is that if you have kids attending, you may want to ask them to feed the kids first. Kids meals were the last to come out but by then, the kids had already eaten the main food and no longer wanted their chicken tenders/fries. The weather was beautiful and we made use of the hall's lovely patio. Many of our guests enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the evening. We are grateful to Lynda and the staff at Freedom Hill Banquet Center for making our daughter's wedding everything the bride and groom wanted.

I was about to lose hope that we would ever find an affordable place on a budget that fit our vision. Then I finally stumbled on Freedom Hill. Pricing is reasonable and the catered food was delicious! We went with a breakfast for dinner, it wasn’t something they typically did but were super accommodating and the chef was super excited to work with us on creating appetizers that fit our breakfast/brunch theme! Everyone seriously raved about the food. We paid extra for a crepe station and it was definitely worth the money. We even added on another appetizer for the chocolate crispante after the tasting because they were so good! Food is 10/10 for sure! They had many options to choose from so we were able to find something to fit our budget. We only had our reception here. The space was perfect and we had the place to ourselves since there is only one main room. The atmosphere was great and I loved the brick wall with the lights behind us for the head table. Very accommodating for bringing in our own cake and desserts, and bringing in all our decor. Setup was easy and Lynda and her staff were very helpful. There were a few miscommunications on both sides but those are bound to happen when planning out of state but Lynda was very accommodating, and went the extra mile. For some reason my bridal party wasn’t able to come in and wait in the private rooms while my husband and I finished our photos even though I was originally told they could wait there and the appetizers would be there/brought in. I never did get to the bottom of what happened so I don’t really know where fault lies but my bridal party made the best of it and was able to get someone from the guests to bring them food outside. Just check details but honestly that’s anywhere and Freedom Hill delivered on all the big marks and I am happy I went with them and would recommend to any couple - the space can be transformed for many different themes!

We just had our wedding here and it was perfect! Lynda was the absolute best, she calmed any concerns and made sure that our day was everything we hoped for. The food was delicious and Chef Bobby was so friendly. We heard nothing but great things from our friends and family. We will be sure to recommend this venue to anyone planning an event!
