Fatty Patty's made our wedding cake and pass-around cupcakes for our Rosemary Beach wedding this April and everything was FABULOUS! The guests are still talking about how delicious the cake tasted and it was absolutely gorgeous!!! Highly recommend Fatty Patty's for any wedding or event!!!
Everyone loved my wedding cake and the grooms cake was spectacular. It was made just like the picture that I provided only better!! They both tasted great!! Very nice people and will definitely use them in the future!
From the time we walked in we knew we went to the right place for our cake. The staff was friendly, listened to what we wanted, and couldn't have made a more perfect cake for our wedding! The cost was extremely reasonable compared to others in the area. Not only was the cake beautiful, it tasted amazing too! I will use them again!
Wow! Our wedding cake and grooms cake were beautiful and so delicious! We were more than pleased with the timeliness of the delivery and the staff of Fatty Patty's Cakes and Cafe. I would highly recommend this caterer for any event. Everyone at the reception had the most positive things to say about the food which Fatty Patty's catered as well. Delicious and plenty of it!
My wedding is in one week and yesterday Alan told me that they would not be making my cake. I tried to get more information because I was sure he was just confused and he hung up on me. I called back and begged him to please just talk to me about what might have happened so we could work it out and he proceeded to hang up on me a second time.
I have a multiple email exchange (that I would be happy to share with anyone who would like to see them) on May 22 and 23 where Renee seemed enthusiastic about making my wedding cake. I have a severe allergy and she even requested I send her recipes as well as my color swatches (which I did in July). For over a month I have been calling every few days and have emailed twice to find out where and how much to send for my deposit and if they need anything else from me, as I am in a different state. Several times I have talked to Alan and Renee and they always say, "yeah, we've got you, but we are really busy right now, can I call you later?" but they never do call.
I am distraught and angry at the lack of professionalism and organization, especially after reading all the rave reviews here.

During the course of her treatment I had three local decorators on call that were helping me to get through a very difficult time. I did the cakes that I could and the cakes that we did not have contracts on were referred out to these wonderful ladies that I could not have made it without. When this bride called she was told that my mother had just passed away and that I was not available to make the cake. She was given names of the ladies that were available. We did exchange emails but no monies or contract were exchanged. Three names and numbers were offered to her of ladies that were more than happy to take care of her cake for her. My apologies go out for Fatty Patty's not being able to make the cake. Fatty Patty's did an awesome job with the cake. The owner was very quick to follow-up with any questions. She did an awesome job of creating the cake based on what we wanted. The cake was also delivered and set up in plenty of time for the reception.
I didn't eat but just one bite but everyone else said it was very delicious!!!
Absolutely amazing grooms cake and stunning wedding cake. One of the best tasting and most elegantly designed cakes I've tasted. I can recommend Fatty Patty's Cakes to everyone. You will adore every bite.
Here are some emails between me and the bakery that provided our wedding cake at the Waterscape Resort where the wedding and Reception and Honeymoon took place! We paid over $2,000 just to stay there (room only)!

I am so glad you were happy with the cake. I am soooooooooooooo sorry that it didn't get to you on time. That makes me so sad when I think about it. That lady I spoke to at the condo on Monday really could have cared less.
Let me know if you got to the bottom of any of it. I surely couldn't. I do know the lady I spoke to at after hour service was Fia. The lady I spoke to on Monday at the condo was a manager, not a front desk help.

Renee, I have to say you were a JOY to deal with for my wedding cake at the beach... Your website is wonderful, so many designs to choose from! The cake was absolutely YUMMY, can't wait for my 1st anniversary to eat the top!
But you and your deliveryman went above and beyond my expectations! The resort we stayed at (Waterscape Resort by Resort Quest) were NOT helpful at all, SHAME ON THEM, and your deliveryman sat in the truck with my cake for 2 hours because he could not get onto the property to deliver it. He sat in the parking lot until we called to find out where the cake was! That is WAY ABOVE the service that I would expect, but THANK GOD you and your bakery really do care about your customers and put them before all else! I just can't say enough about your service, your friendliness, helpfulness, and your product! I would NOT hesitate to use you again for any event I have in your area, and more importantly, would definately recommend you to anyone I know needing a bakery!!! Thank you so much for all that you do!!! Again, it was such a pleasure to do business with you! Please post this on your website for any other brides out there needing someone they can count on!
By the way, we talked to the manager on duty when we checked out, she already knew about the situation. She told us it wasn’t any of her employees, that they closed at 4:00. She said the deliveryman must’ve talked to an on-site realtor that was there at the time… She also told me that I should have provided them a list of vendors and that I never told her we were having the reception there. That is all a crock of sh__! She admitted that she remembered talking to me about reserving the gazebo on the pool deck for $750. I told her that we would take our chances on the availability of the gazebo, I wasn’t paying that much to reserve an open-air gazebo! Guess we weren’t important enough, they had a HUGE wedding reception out there the evening before. It was beautiful, but pissed me off that we didn’t “rank” high enough to deserve some courtesy… Anyway, I hope you guys work something out with them for future wedding arrangements. I would suggest telling any future clients that they need to provide you with a guest armband so you can deliver the cake. They had just implemented the “armbands” on the day before our wedding. Had I known that, I would’ve provided you guys with one, they gave me about 25 of them for all our guests, etc.
By the way, there wasn’t ONE BITE left at the end of the evening! Thanks again!!!

Renee at Fatty Patty did an exceptional job with our wedding cake and grooms cake. Believe it or not our cake tasted REALLY good and looked exactly as we had hoped. She helped us stay within our budget while giving us exactly what we had asked for. Thanks Renee!
Fatty Patty's Bakery provided a groom's cake for my son's wedding. It was a very unusual request - a cake Nike tennis shoe (his) on top of a cake Nike shoe box to feed 250+ guests at the Rehearsal Dinner After Party. The cake was so AWESOME! It was so realistic and exceeded my expectations. The shoe box was white velvet cake and the shoe was red velvet. All of the guests RAVED about the cake. My son, the groom, was VERY HAPPY with the final version of his crazy idea.
The amount paid for the cake was well below the other suppliers that I researched in the area. In fact, I could not find another bakery in metro Atlanta that charged the amount of the other gulf coast bakeries.................Fatty Patty's prices were an exceptional value for the services and product received.
I have been an event planner for over 20 years for a major corporation. I have purchased goods and services throughout the US for many years. Fatty Patty was one of the FEW vendors on the gulf coast that offered reasonable prices for exceptional value.
Do not get "taken" by other bakeries that boast to have "the best cake on the gulf coast" and charging unrealistic prices.
At the last minute, I needed food items for a Sunday brunch for 35 PP. Fatty Patty's fulfilled my request rapidly with tasty, warm food.
I have a disclaimer that comes along with my rating... Renee was sick and so not responding to emails, and for a short while, I was not confidant that they knew what I wanted for my wedding cake. At that point we had not ironed out the details. However, once I did speak with her, everything was cleared up... the cake was PERFECT! Exactly what I had envisioned and tasted AWESOME! It was probably one of the best tasting wedding cakes I have ever had and everyone commented on it. I wish I had more to eat now!! My lack of responsiveness from them was a fluke, so generally speaking I HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking for a baker!!
