The food was delicious, and we had so many clean plates after dinner — a true testament to how much our guests loved everything. We had the best experience a couple could ever ask for working with The Chef's Table for our wedding catering. Augustin and Maria were so thoughtful, communicative, and easy to work with from our first inquiry through the end of our reception. They put together a menu that responded to the different tastes and cultural backgrounds of our guests that we had mentioned. Our tasting was not only delicious but they included a slideshow of previous events they've done at our venue so we could see how the room could be set up. During the venue walk-through a month out they were so thorough in going over all the details for the room set up and had wonderful tips and ideas for us. On the day of the event, not only was the food delicious, but the service was impeccable. Augustin was so personal and attentive throughout the entire night. For example, he made sure the head table had a platter of the appetizers so the bride and groom actually got to enjoy the food. The feedback we got from our guests was that the food was delicious and the service from the waitstaff and bartenders was fantastic. Working with The Chef's Table was the best decision we could have made in our wedding planning and we can't recommend them highly enough!

Agustin and Maria were so easy to work with throughout the process of coordinating our wedding. They put together a very thoughtful tasting for us, providing us with samples and showing us photos of how they had set up our venue previously. In addition, they were very communicative and not only provided the food and set up but their consultation as well. The dishes, wait staff, and bartenders were all on point throughout the evening. The Chef’s Table, on a scale of 1-10, rates 9.9 for food, 10 for reliability and way over 10 for service. Based on two events, I would recommend them highly.

Their food was excellent in both range of offerings and enthusiastic reception by my guests. Though tuna steaks once were dry, the sea bass another time was moist and delicious…and frankly my guests said they were amazed. Consider that for both the bass and for half racks of lamb — three mini-chops in one piece — both entrees were prepared in Herndon, transported (by the owner!) to the Georgetown waterfront for an hour’s wait until our chartered boat arrived, then another 90 minutes onboard until dinnertime. Yet the chops were warm, pink and fine tasting even without the chimichurri sauce. “How do they do it?” people asked.

Because The Chef’s Table has a $1,000 minimum for food, for a small party I next tried another caterer with only a per-person minimum. Big mistake: Nine days before the party, we still didn’t have all menu questions answered nor a final price. That Thursday I asked The Chef’s Table if they could jump in at the last minute and produce a comparable menu in time; the next day they delivered a proposed menu and a firm price for Saturday a week later — and it turned out wonderfully.

Another reason for the 10+ service rating was our on-site server/cook, who took over after the owner again (!) delivered the food and equipment. He worked quietly, efficiently and pleasantly with no need for supervision, then cleaned up and left the kitchen spotless. Indeed, we felt we’d gotten something extra because though we’d arranged for stationary hors d’oeuvres, our server/cook passed some of them around the gathering so the hot hors d’oeuvres stayed warm.

In my corporate life before retiring, my job involved many high-dollar catered events. I’d say The Chef’s Table ranks with the best. I’d use them again anytime…and no further experiments with second-rate competitors.

I cannot speak highly enough of Maria and the entire team at Chef's Table. Throughout the entire planning process Maria was incredibly helpful in assisting us with choosing our menu that would be appealing to a wide array of people while still paying homage to the grooms culture. They also worked well with our other vendors to ensure that everything went off without a hitch.

The team at Chef's Table was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, helping us think through what we needed across the entire reception (cocktail hour/dinner/dessert) and providing tips and advice from experience. When choosing the menu, they were flexible and were able to easily adjust as we updated our choices throughout the planning process, including how we wanted the table settings to look, which plates to use, etc. On the day of, the bar tenders and waiters were always present and helpful, leading to a smooth dining experience and no major wait times. Finally, the food itself was delicious, and there was plenty of it on the buffet for all guests. Maria (one of the owners) even personally served us our wedding meal to make sure we remembered to eat! Overall, we were extremely satisfied with them and would highly recommend to anyone else!

The Chef's Table is incredible. Maria and her team are amazing. Everything was perfect!!!!! First, they worked with is through the entire process and were willing to hold extra meeting to review and change table settings, drinks, timing and everything in between. We had full confidence in them the whole time. Second, the food is great! So often reception food is good but nothing overly memorable, but with TCT, I had so many people explicitly compliment the food (the filet mignon is incredible). Lastly, the reception hall was stunning with their linens, plates, set up and everything. Could not have been better. They were also wonderful with beverage suggestions and making sure everyone had plenty :). 5 stars is not enough!
