Wedding Services

Whether it is music for your ceremony or dancing for your reception--or both--we go that extra mile to work with your wedding coordinator so that your wedding will be the flawless event you envision.

Because we care about our clients, we provide personal service such as one face to face meeting with your entertainer to plan every detail of your day. we also serve as  Em-Cee for your reception events.

From that special first dance, to toasts to cake-cutting, to bouquet and garter throwing, we’ll orchestrate the timing and make all the announcements to keep your reception spirited, fun, and memorable!

Our music collection covers time periods that will please both the young people and older guests. A selection of special tunes for those special dances, like Bride-and-Father and Groom-and-Mother are sure to bring smiles to lips and tears to the eyes.

We spent many hours researching what it is brides and their families want from their deejays. In response to their input, we’ve designed SoundWave to fit the desires of our customers--not the other way around. Here are some of the services that make us special:

PERSONAL SERVICE: We can provide personal service because Sound Wave Entertainment is a small owner-operated business, not a large franchise. Therefore, you’ll always be involved in selecting and scheduling how the music and itinerariy are handled on your very special day.

COMPLETE COMPACT DISC LIBRARY: Sound Wave Entertainment has an extensive music library. We have everything from big band to your favorite dance hits, classic rock and jazz. All our music is on computerized lists that you can pre-select and your guests can find their favorite songs on the spot! What good is having access to 5,000 songs if your dee jay can’t find what you and your guests want to hear, when you want to hear it?

PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT: At Sound Wave Entertainment, we use only the best top-quality equipment. We pride ourselves on a professional looking setup. Therefore, no unsightly wires will be in those important photos of your wedding or other event.

PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE: Tuxedos are the standard at Sound Wave Entertainment, but, of course, if you feel more casual attire would better ’’Suit’’ your setting, let us know!

Bristow Manor

Jim and Sound Wave has been my preferred DJs for years now because they are awesome! We love having them at Bristow Manor! A DJ really can “make or break” your wedding and Jim Hester, Chris Rao and Chris Williams always “make” it! Sound Wave keeps the guests on the dance floor the entire event. They are involved and aware of the guests and adjust the music style accordingly. They always go above and beyond to ensure the couple and the guests enjoy the reception!

You may have filled out our questionnaire to "get the ball rolling" with Sound Wave Entertainment. We think it's fair that you should also have an opportunity to ask questions of us. This page will give you some insights as to the questions you should consider before signing a contract with any disc jockey service, and your right as a potential client to ask the questions during an interview with a potential entertainer.

The information will also help you understand the importance of providing us with detailed requirements that will ultimately result in your satisfaction.

Does your Disc Jockey use professional equipment?

There is a difference between the audio equipment you have at home and the equipment a professional Disc Jockey uses. Professional audio equipment is built to go on the road day in and day out. It is also of a much higher sound quality that can be provided by home-type equipment piped through a houses sound system. Sound Wave Entertainment provides excellent audio equipment, and can even offer a variety of audio levels to suit the size of your facility and your guest list.

 

Can your Disc Jockey provide a written contract? References from previous clients?

It is extremely important to have your booking confirmed in writing. All terms of the agreement should be documented to avoid any complications for either you or us at some later time. Having a written contract also helps Sound Wave Entertainment keep an accurate calendar of bookings.

Will your Disc Jockey be suitably dressed for the occasion?

It is important that your Disk Jockey looks the part by dressing appropriately for your event. Be sure to let him/her know if your event is formal, (wedding or formal dance), semi-formal, (daytime or less formal party) or casual (luau, pool party, company picnic). It's just as uncomfortable for a Disc Jockey to be over dressed as to be too casually dressed. There should never be an additional cost for formal attire.

Does your Disc Jockey know the proper procedure and etiquette for your type of function?

A professional Disc Jockey will become involved with the planning of your special function and will be prepared to handle any announcements or special events on the day of your function. Sound Wave Entertainment has earned an excellent reputation for establishing and maintaining good rapport with wedding planners and professional coordinators. All our Disc Jockeys are capable of performing tasteful event coordination if you do not have specialist handling your program.

Is your Disc Jockey willing to discuss musical selections ahead of time, and is he or she willing to play requests, particularly if they are suitable for dancing?

Sound Wave Entertainment goes to great lengths to provide the music you want for your event. Our extensive library gives potential clients an enormous range of choices. As professionals, we are aware that we cannot know every song and artist in the music world. We are, however, willing to listen to your ideas and suggestions and provide advice based on our professional experience. By the same token, we hope you will listen to our advice and opinions on appropriateness of music to your situation, and be willing to understand that it is not always possible to obtain the exact song and/or arrangement you would like to have. We also reserve the right to refuse to play music of an obscene or violent nature, especially where young people or children are present. We also give preference to your wishes over those of your guests...if we feel a guest is asking for (or in some cases, demanding) inappropriate music, we will stand by our right to refuse based on previous conversations with you, our client.

Will your Disc Jockey arrive on time?

Punctuality is an ultimate necessity, and as professional business men and women , we are aware of our responsibility to our clients. It is also important that we be aware of any special time restraints imposed by facilities management. If your event is being held in a facility that runs more than one event during the day or evening, it is doubly important that we arrive on time, set up swiftly, and break down and remove our equipment promptly according to facilities requirements. Sound Wave Entertainment also prides itself on keeping our setup area neat, with no unsightly and dangerous cables/cords evident. Because our equipment is costly and represents "the tools of our trade," we ask that you, as hosts, be aware of your guests' behavior and insist, if necessary, that they respect our equipment and the space in which we work.
