Pam and her staff from Promised Hearts are excellent to work with. I have seen her many times go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure a bride's day is perfect. She really knows how to help a bride feel at ease on her special day.
I have worked with Pam from Promised Hearts and I highly recommend her services. She is on top of the game, very organized and a total sweetheart. Definitely one on the top wedding planners I have worked with. Highly recommend her.
Pam does a great job!
As we are both Association members, I know that Laura has the knowledge and resources to make any bride's wedding day both beautiful and stress free!
After working with Pam and the gang at Promised Hearts in June, I can honestly say they do a fantastic job. I was the Minister that performed the ceremony on the beach at Emerald Isle and they did a lovely job planning and coordinating the wedding.

Additional Questions and Answers

Questions about serving alcohol from a real bride: Let me ask you, do more people do open or cash bar at a wedding??? I’m in a dilemma with that.

According to the rules of etiquette, it is never appropriate to have a cash bar at the wedding. It is like inviting people over to dinner, then expecting them to pay for it. But open bars can get expensive. One solution is to serve only wine & beer, or a champagne punch. Or have 2 bowls of punch, one alcoholic & the other non-alcoholic. Put a bottle of champagne next to the alcohol one to tell people the difference Another is to only have champagne for toasting. You can always only serve one signature drink, and give it a cute name, such as "wedding cake" (amaretto & gin, with a splash of cream, orange juice & pineapple juice). Maybe serve only Baileys at a fall or winter wedding. If you have your reception at a hotel & if someone wants a drink, I’m sure they will have a bar somewhere they can get their own.

Tips and Advice

For outdoor wedding receptions, to help keep the flies away from your wedding cake, cover it with white or ivory tulle.  Cut several strips and cover the cake lightly. Anchor the edges with shells for a beach theme or iridescent stones.  It will still look beautiful & your guest will appreciate you resourcefulness.

If your wedding cake has damaged places, use artificial Rose petals.  The guests will never know they weren’t supposed to be there.   They can also cover spots on the tablecloth.  I always have extra white and ivory on hand.  You can also use the extra color ones from the flower girls basket.  Use a small piece of cardboard can help stabilize a heavy topper.  I carry one that has white on one side & brown on the other side.  It works great if the cake is chocolate.
