I encourage anyone considering Weddings by Chris to read the contract carefully before signing. There is a clause stating that if a disagreement or argument occurs with the client, a family member, or even a wedding guest, the contract may be canceled and the deposit may be retained.

My experience started out very well. I worked with Chris for about three months, and everything seemed to be going smoothly. The situation changed after she read a text message I sent and interpreted my tone negatively. She called me and told me she was canceling our contract because of what she considered a disagreement.

During the conversation, I apologized and tried to resolve the situation. She told me she was “tired of parents of the bride getting confused,” called me “babe” several times, and said she would have to think about whether she was going to cancel the contract. After that conversation, I no longer felt comfortable moving forward or paying additional money, given how uncertain the situation had become and what I felt was an unprofessional approach to handling the issue.

Ultimately, I chose to end our working relationship and accepted the loss of my deposit. I am sharing my experience so that future couples understand the importance of reading the contract thoroughly and deciding whether they are comfortable with its cancellation terms before signing.
