Hey, we’re your camera crew, Mindi and Rich.

Photography for my wedding was extremely important to me. After everything is said and done, all you have left are the memories and the photographs. I didn't want the old fashioned "stand here, face this way, tilt your head, no lower, chin up, raise your right arm, nclench your hand, smile, no less teeth, look this way" kind of pictures. They come out beautiful, don't get me wrong, but I wanted my pictures to tell a story. I wanted them to be more natural and free. I did alot of research, and came to the conclusion I didn't want someone who took pictures for a living. I didn't want a wedding factory, I wanted a photographer, a storyteller, an artist for my photo's. I wanted someone who had a passion that showed through their work. After alot of research, the one photographer(s) that kept popping up was Photography by Verdi. Luckily enough, they had my wedding date open, and I immediately made an appointment to meet with them. We drove up to their beautiful home in LI, and you can feel their warmth as soon as you walked in and up to their studio. They were the nicest people, and we instantly felt a connection to them, which was something I also felt was important. I have a tendancy to feel intimidated by some people, and I certainly did not want to feel intimidated by my photographers. But when you meet Rich and Mindi, you feel like you've known them forever. They showed us a slideshow of their work, and they had us. Everything they showed us was better than the last! They captured moments in people's lives! You saw the joy in the bride and groom's faces. You saw every emotion in their photo's. We booked then and there, and it was the easiest and best decision I ever made! They were so great at the wedding, they had such an eye for detail and for great photo oppurtunities. They were unobtrusive, yet there for everything! When I got my pictures back (less than a week after the wedding by the way) they caught things I didn't even know were there or were happening! They managed to get photos of all of my guests, without most of them even knowing it! I am so happy we chose them, I now have the story of my day in photo's, better than I ever expected! I can't wait to find another reason to have them take our photo's!
