Charles Ringling, one of the six famous Ringling Circus brothers, built his magnificent mansion in 1925-1926 as a winter retreat for his family. In the 1960s, New College of Florida purchased the estate, known today as College Hall, for its administrative and academic needs. The first floor features a music room with Santos Mahogany wood floors and timbered ceilings, a beautiful living room with marble fireplace, and an enclosed tiled terrace.
The elegant building covered by Etowah marble with its spacious lawn offers exquisite bayfront sunsets that adds a unique touch to any event.

When is College Hall available for a wedding ceremony and reception?
College Hall is available on Saturdays from 12:00pm to 10:00pm.

When is the rehearsal held and for how long?
The rehearsal is held on the day before the wedding, Friday, for 2 hours from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Do we need Insurance?
Yes, general liability insurance is required in the amount of $500,000.

Can we schedule a visit to tour the building?
We will be more than happy to show you the venue during regular business hours Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Please contact us at

How many guests can we invite to our wedding?
The total capacity of the building is 130 guests including the wedding party.
