Both buildings are totally private and no permits are required.

Does your venue often accommodate more than one event at a time?
We only book one event at the Dove House and one event at the Gatehouse at a time. We also make sure neither event is scheduled for the same start time, to insure guests are not arriving at the same time for different events. Our two buildings are located on adjoining properties but are well separated and private so one event would never know there was another event going on next door.

Do you offer security, if requested?
We do not have on-site security as our on-site event managers are extremely good at making sure your event is running smoothly. If a client wants to hire security for some reason, we recommend contacting our local city's police department where they can hire an off duty officer.

Our on-site event managers who will be present at each event are dressed appropriately in wedding guest attire.

Tips and Advice
We always suggest that each bride and groom sit down to discuss what items in their wedding are a high priority, somewhat of a priority and not a priorty so they can budget properly.

Instructions on how to play the "Wedding Priority Game" -

A good way to do this is to make a list of all of the general items/vendors you want in your wedding, i.e., ceremony site, reception site, catering, liquor, cake, music/entertainment, flowers, photography, videography, invitations, transportation, rehearsal dinner, other parties, clothes, rings, favors, wedding night suite, honeymoon, etc.  Print this list on three colors of paper, pink (for the bride), blue (for the groom), and white (for BOTH the bride and groom).  Cut each item out so it is on it's own small piece of paper.  Now the bride goes into one room and the groom into another room and they assemble their list into an order of THEIR INDIVIDUAL priority (not thinking of the other perons at this time), placing the most important thing and the top and working their way down to finish the list with the least important.  Tape the list together in this order.  Now the bride and groom come back together to discuss their individual list of priorties and come up with a joint comprimise on a JOINT priority list.  This is where the white copy comes in.  Put a third priority list together using the white list which reflects your priorities as a couple, taking each others priorities into account.  When you feel you have a list that you can each live with, write in down and post it clearly on your bulletin board or refridgerator so it is constantly visable.  Also make copies to give to parents and others who are involved in your wedding planning.

It is very important that you stick to this list!  Do NOT let others put "their" priorities above yours!  Also be sure to not compromise on your list, for example, if flowers are at the top of the list, then get the most and best flowers and florist you can!  If transporation is at the bottom of your list then don't hire a limo!  This is the best way to get a good idea of your wants and needs and have a plan to stick to it.
