Tips and Advice
Get organized- Use  a wedding planner
The most crucial thing for a newly engaged couple to do is get organized. A good wedding planner will help you figure out month-by-month what you need to accomplish, so that you won't find yourself completely overwhelmed only weeks before the big day. You've got a big job ahead of you and you wouldn't want to skip any essential tasks. Here's an easy wedding checklist for you to keep track of what's on your to-do-list.
1. Ideally, a year is the best time you can have to plan your wedding, especially if you are going to need reservations for a honeymoon that takes you to an exotic location. Destination weddings and honeymoon's are becoming more popular each year and it  is now a law requiring you have a passport to leave the continental U.S. Applying and renewing passports is a "waiting" process and you may not have time enough to obtain one  if you haven't applied for one at least 6 mos. prior to your wedding date.
2. Use a Wedding Budget Worksheet- 1. Setting your wedding budget is one of the very first things you should do. Use a budget worksheet to plan out what you'll need to pay for, and how much you should plan to spend.
3. When planning a wedding guest list, it's hard to know how many people will actually come. Try to figure out how many people may actually attend and how many you can actually invite. It's never too early in the wedding planning process to start talking about your guest list. Before you announce that you're having 250 people and start verbally inviting people.
4 Don't be like other couples, avoid common mistakes of trying to duplicate a "friends" or "movie wedding".
5. Don't  don't forget your Marriage License - Find Out  What You'll Need in Order to Get a Marriage License
If you're planning to get legally married, there is one thing you mustn't forget – the marriage license.
6. Don't elope you can plan a Wedding Quickly in 3 Months or Less
Most wedding guides will tell you that a year is a good length of time to plan a wedding. But what do you do if you have to get married quickly? You might think your only option is to elope, and miss out on a real wedding. Instead, see me about  planning a wedding in 3 months or less. It is possible and I have done it in the past for couples who wanted a small, intimate wedding yet still formal and with friends and family attending and a local wedding with in area honeymoon. I know a great little" Bed & Breakfast"  that has atmosphere. I also know of several hotels that would welcome you and they give a the feeling of having a "beach get-a-way" honeymoon.
7. If you know of a place you already have in mind or someone who you trust to use in the process of any part of completing your wedding plans by all means, let us know their names. I will be happy to work with someone you trust. I want this to be your best day! Make a list and bring it with you. Sometimes, the day of our first meeting you are so excited you may have forgotten something you wanted to add. I encourage you to call and we can discuss the additions or withdrawals prior to signing any contracts.
8. Be sure to read "all of your contracts prior to signing them. This will save you alot of tears and money.
9. Listen to the friendly advice of  what your friends and family have to give in planning your wedding, stand back, take a breath and smile.  They may or may not offer " good advice " .  This is your wedding no one elses, only you can make it special with the help of your wedding planner  and then "we do, make it your day".
10. Try not to "stress out "  that's why you hired the wedding planner, they will plan the wedding you want.  Stress does not look good on "the bride to be", remember "Stress is the enemy "  your wedding planner is your new "best friend".
