Thank you it was a pleasure meeting you and having the opportunity to do business with you. I like the way you stay connected with your clients and give that personal attention to each couple. Kimberly E Matthews Senior Cosmetologist
My company has partnered with Howerton Wooten Events many times for over a year. Kawania (Kay) Wooten is WONDERFUL! As a wedding professional, Kay is honest, creative, and hard working. She continues to amaze me with her original ideas and great eye for color. In action, Kay is like a Mom fussing over brides to make sure every detail is perfect. Every one of her events are FABULOUS! Personally, Kay has been a mentor and an inspiration. She's one of the finest wedding professionals I know, and a deep down genuinely good person with a great sense of humor! I would recommend Kay and Howerton Wooten events for any event large or small.
Working with Kawania was a pleasure. To coin a old phrase" she gets the bride to the chapel on time". She and her team work well under pressure and are flexible to any changes. She ensures that even the smallest detail receives attention. She made the job of being the caterer easy. She very accessible and any bride would benefit from her services.

Additional Questions and Answers

Do your wedding consultants take complete control of the wedding planning?

Early on, we work with the bride and groom, to determine who is doing what.  We will handle as much or as little of the wedding as they want.   After all, this is their dream wedding.  Our role is to collaborate with the bride and grooom, and provide inspiration and advice with the final decision being theirs.

Photographer Hiring Tips

Have you run the numbers and read the reviews regarding a specific wedding vendor, and find yourself still unsure if they are the right company for you?  Trust your instinct.  Your wedding is an extremely important day and your memories (especially your photos) will last forever.  So, you want to be sure that you hired the vendor that is right for you, your style and your dream.  I promise you that your gut will not let you down.

Treat the purchase of a wedding gown like the purchase of a car.  Do your research – some designers offer sample sales at certain times of the year and you may be able to get more for your money.  Look under the hood (or shall we say the gown) – Make sure that you are comfortable with the material underneath the gown.  Don’t be pressured to buy a gown right away – Try on as many gowns as you want, and test drive it – sit down and dance in the gown; raise your arms; even give kneeling a try as some religious ceremonies will require you to kneel.

Before you decide upon a wedding photographer, think about what is important to you beforehand.  Do you want to keep your proofs?  How many photos are included in your wedding packages?  If the wedding is delayed, do you have to pay for the extra time?  Do you get to keep the proofs?  Do want portrait photography or photojournalism?  Do you want color photos or black and white?  Do you want to hire a company that is well-known with a large staff or do you want to hire a smaller company with one or two photographers?  And don’t forget to ask about scenery – ask the photographer to show you wedding photos taken in unique locations.
