About

About the Artist:

I grew up always loving makeup. I can remember going through my older sisters' makeup cases and getting myself into lots of trouble as a kid. In middle school, I got my first "real" makeup and from that day on never left the house without it. All my girlfriends would ask me to do their makeup for school dances and events, and it began a pattern that would continue into adulthood. As a teenager, I read anything and everything I could get my hands on when it came to makeup. I would read and re-read Kevin Aucoin's "Making Faces" and practice the looks over and over in my bedroom, and the pages of magazines with makeup looks I liked would be strewn all over my dresser. After the birth of my first son in 2006, I decided to make a career out of the love I had for makeup and the obvious talent I had for it, too. I began working selling cosmetics for various cosmetic companies in retail stores, and I branced out into esthetics in 2007, earning my FL esthetician license. In late 2008, after learning I was pregnant again, I chose to leave retail and work for myself doing makeup for weddings and other projects, and I've never looked back!

Why Me?: Because, your makeup should be a timeless reflection of your unique beauty, and I am trained to sculpt the features to create flawless makeup that makes that special difference. I will ensure you look fresh and radiant all day.  But don't just take my word for it.  See what other brides have to say about me in my reviews!

Frequently Asked Questions for Beauty & Health
What beauty services do you offer?
Makeup

Do you charge for trials?
Trials are included with a bridal contract. If you decide not to book me at the time of your trial, there is a trial fee.

Do you travel to the client on the day of the event? If yes, is there a fee?
All work is done on location. I come to you, so you don't have one more thing to worry about on your wedding day!

How many customers can you serve at one time if the bride were to book her entire bridal party? Are there discounts for doing so?
The maximum bridal party I can serve is 8 people at my pricing. After that, I would need to hire an assistant and cannot offer discounts.

How far in advance should clients book your services?
ASAP. My calendar is limited for bridal services, and these dates are already filling up quickly. When you set your trial date, a hold is placed on your wedding day until that time. I recommend doing trials around 2-3 weeks before the wedding and up to 5 months in advance. If my schedule is open, I can accomodate a bride with as little advanced notice as one week for local brides.

What is your cancellation policy?
A deposit is due at the signing of the contract and is forfeit in the event of a cancellation. Deposits vary on the contracted services.

Additional Questions and Answers

F.A.Q.’s

Q. Why should I pay to have someone else do my makeup for my wedding when I can do it myself?

A. Sure, doing it yourself may save you money in the long run.  Money for an extra centerpiece or the upgraded limosine.  But like the dress, the hair, the bouquet, your face and the makeup on it will be in every photo taken that day, and it should be a timeless reflection of your unique beauty and elegance.  While it may be true that no one knows your face quite like you do, professionals are trained to view and sculpt the features to create flawless lasting makeup that makes that special difference.  Using the highest quality products and the most advanced techniques, a makeup artist can ensure you look fresh and radiant all day long.  To get the same results, even with the most practiced hand, requires an investment of time and money on products and application that may never be used again.  In the end, it all comes down to what you are willing to sacrifice.  Quality or cash.

Q. Will I still look like me?

A. Probably one of the biggest concerns of brides hesitant about having their makeup done by someone else for their wedding. Maybe you’ve never had your makeup done by someone else before and don’t know what to expect. Or perhaps you’ve had a bad experience before at a salon or cosmetics counter that left you wary of makeup artists. Let me assure you, my number one concern is the comfort and satisfaction of every customer I work on. Not only can you test the feel of the makeup and the quality of the work with a trial run, you can customize the look to suit your individual style ahead of time. All the work done will be documented to be replicated exactly on your big day, leaving one less thing for you to worry about. My main focus is a very natural look, enhancing the facial features using soft contouring and shading. You’ll look exactly like you, only better!

Q. Do you work for or represent any specific cosmetic line?

A. I am not directly employed by any specific cosmetic line to represent them in my professional work. I am a freelance makeup artist and work on occasion with several different cosmetic companies at their events. However, in my own practice I do not represent or distribute any one particular line over another, although I do have my favorites that I use!

Q. Do you travel?

A. I will travel anywhere I can get to without having to take a plane! Besides my fear of flying, the cost of my ticket is usually not something most brides budget for, so I drive to most locations. However, I am willing to drive anywhere from Maine to Miami if a bride requests. I do have travel fees that I charge to account for mileage and overnight stay, though.
