Are you a commercial studio or a home-based business?
Home-based business. The savings from not renting a studio allows me to not raise the price of my packages to compensate for it.
What types, such as unedited footage or special effects, of videography do you offer?
One Camera, special effects editing, custom dvd and case covers, custom dvd menu. All packages include music highlight(s).
Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?
Yes, I do carry an on-camera light.
Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?
If it is possible, I'd love to meet with each couple prior to the wedding. It isn't necessary though.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Nobody can guarantee they're presence at an actual event. I would have to be physically unable to film the wedding in order to not show up. In that case I would hire another videographer and chop off some of the price. If no one shows up, I will fully compensate the couple for their paid expenses. I'm contracted too.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Yes. It is possible for me to book 2 wedding in one weekend.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Camera, Tripod, Stabilizer, On-Light, Extra Batteries and Wireless Microphones.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
It depends on the time between events. I won't take a break in the middle of the ceremony if that's what you think.
Do you charge overtime?
No, unless the event spills over into another day. (after 2am)
Do you give access to your raw footage?
Yes, I give the MiniDV tapes that I film with to the couple when I'm done. That belongs to them.
Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for promotions, contents, etc.?
Yes, unless the couple requests for me to leave those rights out of the contract.
Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?
The bride has the freedom to contact me with any suggestions she might have. I'm not making the DVD's for myself. If I can do it, it will be done.
How long does it take for the client to get the final video?
Generally 2-8 weeks. It depends on how many wedding I have to edit at the time. The summer months are obviously going to be the busiest.
