From the couple meetings we had coordinating our wedding to the execution on our special day, Christina and her team were responsive, organized and very professional. Truly the best in the business, and the best possible team to capture our wedding day. Photography and videography were always a big priority for us, and we began our search for the perfect photography/videography team two years before our wedding. While I had researched and interviewed over 40 photographers, I hit the jackpot with Filmman Studios. They were one of the first videography teams I spoke to and immediately I knew they would be the people I wanted to hire. Christina was bubbly, sweet, fun, patient. As an added bonus, her and George both speak Mandarin and Cantonese — perfect for communicating with our wedding guests. Beyond their personalities, their films spoke for themselves, two words “cinematic masterpieces.” On top of that, their pricing was extremely reasonable.

On the day of, Christina and George showed up 1 hour early. Christina, just like she had been on the phone, was BURSTING with energy. She ran up to me, wrapping me in a big hug and I yelped out “wow it is so good to finally meet my wedding vendors!” My bridesmaids were confused, “You’ve never met her before? You guys seem like best friends.”

That sentiment held true for the rest of the day. Shooting with Christina and George really did feel like hanging out with great friends. They laughed at our TikTok video creations, danced with us on the dance floor, and handed my husband and I tissues when we could not stop crying at our first look. What was the most impressive was the way they were somehow able to both direct and encourage, all while allowing my husband and I to have (what felt like) very personal and private moments throughout the day.

Then, just 4 days after our wedding, I got a text from Christina saying our video was ready. My husband and I shakily opened the link and we were waterworks all over again. It was perfection — from the way it started with funny “blooper” scenes to the way it incorporated our vows and romantic shots. When we sent to our friends and family, no one could believe this video was made literally less than 100 hours after our wedding. Christina surprised us with beautiful drone shots, interviews with family and friends and the perfect shot of our first look which is and will be my most favorite memory of the day.

On the day of the wedding, they were a bright light. They treated our family with kindness and always checked in respectfully to ensure they captured everything we wanted.

Having worked with Christina on a previous family wedding, we had no doubt about her skill and cinematic talent. Once again, she delivered beautifully.

We decided to strongly consider Christina and Filmman for our wedding because she had done an excellent job at my to-be-sister-in-law's wedding. She quickly confirmed that working with her was going to be a great experience. We'll update this review when our wedding date comes to pass, but for now we wanted to write a review just to emphasize how excellent Christina is to work with in the pre-contract and negotiation phase:

1. Professionalism: She is quick to reply, thorough in communication, kind in spirit, and committed to ensuring you are provided the package you need.

2. Better Packages: Moreover, compared to other videographers, it's our view that she has a more compelling offering. She has certain packages that offer long-form edits – providing (from what we saw with our family member's wedding) the best way to retain a significant amount of the big day in a quality, usable format.

3. Great Style: Finally, the short films that she creates are a lot more cinematic and story-oriented than most wedding films we've seen. Put another way, they tell a story more like what a filmmaker would do in a typical context, driven by voice-overs and compelling imagery – not following as much the classic wedding film tropes that can be a bit overwrought.
