Describe your DJ style:
I have been described as "fun and outgoing" without being "over the top" or "in-your-face."
What is your usual attire?
Typically I wear a tux, but at your direction, I can dress as formally or informally as you request!
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
As long as the song is LEGALLY and commercially available, I am happy to purchase any songs needed to make your special day complete. If you are seeking a particular "live version" or remix, then I would ask that you provide that to me at least 2 weeks prior to your reception.
How many other DJs do you work with?
I am a solo-operator.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
This is entirely up to you. I will gladly tailor a Wedding package to your specific needs.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
I strongly encourage a face-to-face meeting at a location of your convenience prior to booking.
It is as important that I be comfortable with you as a client as it is for you to be comfortable with me!
Do you bring your own equipment?
Absolutely! I am proud to use all professional grade equipment and the Bose L1 Pro Audio system which provides unparalleled sound in an unobtrusive, attractive package that will not detract from your carefully decorated Reception Hall!
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
All wedding packages include DMX-controlled LED lighting effects at your request.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
I require about one hour from arrival to first note played. As a rule, however, I will arrive at the venue 1 1/2 to 2 hours prior to your music start time, just to make sure everything is ready and perfect for your event. I provide my own table and skirting.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
No.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
I act as both DJ and Emcee. It is my pleasure and honor to do any announcements necessary to keep your Reception flowing smoothly and without worry to you! As for my level of interactivity, you help determine that during our planning sessions.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
While I never turn down a good meal, it is never necessary to provide a meal for me. If one is provided however, I do ask that you let me know in advance so that I can make appropriate arrangements.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
I am part of a large network of DJs, and have a back-up plan in the extremely unlikely instance that I am in the hospital or deceased on the day of your event!
What is your overtime rate?
This depends entirely upon the package you purchase.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
There is no travel charge within my local area (50 miles from my home location in Cohoes, NY.) Outside of this area, additional charges (based on current IRS standards) will apply.
