Whats the difference in TTD and putting it in a closet or preserving it for years and years. I think it is such a cute trend.. haven't decided myself if I am doing it or not but I dont think anyone should be judged if they do it or not... its their dress/money to do with however they want.

I never trash my wedding dress beacuse it witness our love. When we can wear it again to review that sweet moment. I also can use it to calm down our quarrel. A good fire extinguisher.
She didn't actually trash her dress, though, FMW. That's all digitally done. Those are the softer TTD sessions where you don't actually trash the dress.
I haven't decided yet if I want to do a TTD session or not. I think trashing the dress can be an awesome way to relieve some of that stress from the wedding. After all the wedding planning and trying to follow all the wedding etiquette, you are finally done with it all and can just let loose.
@Melody Lynn - That is a great idea. I will consider that also. My dress from my first marriage has been hanging in may parents closet for over 10 years. I think it is time to trash it.
I think most people that do a TTD session don't actually "trash" their dress...they end up get it wet or dirty...both of these things are easily remedied by cleaning the dress!
I'm sorry all. I didn't mean to seem judgemental. I've never seend pictures of it before, and I guess that I thought of it as a nasty thing. I totally see the creativity and fun in it now, nonetheless, still not for me. I'd love to see some more pictures, though...
I can't wait to TTD. I'm going the day after the wedding to a place in the Smokies called Elkmont. There's a bunch of abandon old homes that have a ton of character and charm. I'm really doing more like Analy did then actually trashing it. I also don't really foresee any family member wanting it but I'm not sure I'll be able to let it go to donate it.
Most people get the misconception of TTD as actually trashing and destroying the dress when for most, it's not. It's just about wearing it where you normally wouldn't.
@Carmen: I'm guessing embedded links are being banned from use because you suck traffic from the site that is actually hosting the image. So every time someone opens this thread and an embedded link is in here, it ups the traffic of the source image. It's just online forum no-no.
Mmmm. I have been thinking about this a lot and i think I am gonna do a mild one like Analy did. i love my dress so i would never want to do it but it would be hella fun to run around town in my dress
