Who is doing the "Bridal March"/ "Here Comes the Bride" and who isn't?

Why or why not and what are you doing instead?

I'm doing it - I figure it will be the one time I'll hear it played for me. I have the bridal party coming down to "The Prayer" by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion, though...

    Just not a fan.

We used "(My Girl is the) Queen of the Savages" by Magnetic Fields for my entrance. I thought it was more fitting. :-)

Not doing it either, I'll just have one of our favorite song play while I walk down the aisle, haven't chose one yet, but it might be because you love me by celine, the prayer by Andrea bocelli, better half or differences by Genuwine

I'm not...I probably wouldn't want it anyway, but my church won't allow it (most Catholic churches and Jewish synagogues won't) because Wagner was very publicly an anti-Semite.

I was, but after joining WW, I just don't know anymore! Is it now as bad as BMs wearing a poofy-azz pastel gown?

How long are your aisles? Do you cut the songs off or just walk really slowly. Most songs are about 3:30 at least and with different songs for the bm's and fh and you it seems kinda dragged out in my head.

I'm doing it. I love when I'm a guest at a wedding and everyone hears it they stand and turn to look at the bride. I want that moment. I've been to weddings without it and didn't know to stand and look. If it's corny/cheesy I don't care.

Im actually not doing any of the "traditional " songs. I have love music playing (pianist), and a friend is singing while I walk down the aisle. I chose not to go so traditional because I wanted incorporate more of my personal style as well as FH's. We both love good music!

I'm using the one by Johnathan Cain. I think it's softer and nicer.

No march for me. As a little girl I dreamed of it, but not quite now lol.

I'm walking down (if I can figure out how to put what's on a cassette tape to a CD) to a recording of me and my mom singing Psalm 23 when I was 2 years old Smiley smile

I just want mom to cry really hard lol

I have 7 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen so I think we're going to need most of the intro song, esp with the ringbearer and flower girl thrown in there. But you're right, I will prob have to cut off the march a bit, but that's being played live so she'll shorten it up appropriately. Besides, my dad is walking pretty slow now (gout), so maybe she won't have to Smiley smile.

I am not using the bridal march, it actually gives me the giggles. I am thinking I'll use Cannon in D.
