Why or why not and what are you doing instead?

Ummmm...I highly doubt I go that route. That song truly gets on my nerves a little...I am thinking about a instrumental version of our song :-) Something that actually means something to us :-)

I don't want the wedding march, too harsh, too traditional and too boring. Also, I think I want everyone (officiant, groom and mothers, bridal party, and my father and myself to walk down the isle to the same song. I'm very weird about people cutting songs short and think it sounds weird when not done correctly so I may just have one isle song...we'll see). So far the songs I like are "The Sun and The Moon" by Mae and "Sweet Disposition" by The Temper Trap...I'm still looking of course. We're having an outdoor garden wedding so I like pretty, soft songs to fit the day and the theme

I'm not. I guess I am not as much into tradition as I thought i was. lol. There is pretty much nothing traditional about the wedding. I am walking down the aisle to "Only Hope". It has always been one of my favorite songs, and it suits me i think. =]

Hell no. I want to use Battle Without Honor or Humanity, the theme from Kill Bill.

I don't want it and hope the church lets me use the Hawaiian song I want instead. I told my mom if they use it, they won't be seeing me go down the aisle. I'll be running in the opposite direction because it makes me nervous.

Then she admitted she got cold feet when she heard it and they had to play it twice. Then my uncle had to help my grandma walk her down the aisle. lmao!

    Going totally non-traditional (civil ceremony)

I was planning on walking down the aisle to Paolo Nutini - Loving you.

But now I'm going for this (Muse - Feeling Good), and waiting outside the door until it "kicks in"!

We'll have my FHs nephew fade it out when we're all at the top of the aisle.

I had the March. Hubby has never been married and he wanted the traditional. My dj found a great version of it. As I did not want the Grand Organ Dum ta Dum one.... not me.

No wedding march for me either. I fell in love with the song "Love All Over Me" by Monica

OMG!! I had never heard the Jonathan Cain version until now... I have tears in my eyes! I wasn't sure whether I wanted to use the Bridal March or not but I think this is it!!!

We decided to have a string quartet play "Making Memories of us" By Keither Urban. It's our song, and the theme of our wedding day! The song will be louder and more intense when I finally walk down the aisle for a little more emphasis, but nonethless i don't think "Here comes the Bride" is necessary if you do it right! Good Luck! Smiley smile

Thank you Cabell. I have it on my MP3 player and when it came on one day I immediately thought of me walking down the aisle.

I'm definitely not using it. The entire WP is walking out to one song. I have it divided into sections so the officiant, FH, Best Man, Groomsmen, Bridesmaids, MOHs, and FG all walk out before me. Then it picks up at 3 minutes and 56 seconds, my brothers will roll out the aisle runner, and then stand at the door waiting for my father and I to appear. Once it goes, "And how can I stand here with you, and not be moved by you..." at 4 minutes and 39 seconds, we will walk down with my brothers behind us.

I used Jonathan Caine's version of the "Bridal March". It is really elegant, and so different from the traditional version!

We are going with Trumpet Voluntary (Henry Purcell), it was used at Queen Elizabeth's and Princess Diana's wedding.

I had Canon in D played live by harp and flute....it was magical; everything I imagined it to be.
