Wedding details
We met in high school, I was 14 1/2 at the time, he was 17. We started dating the week before school ended, about a month after we first started talking to each other. He was my very first boyfriend, I'd never even had my first kiss! He had had one girlfriend before me, although they weren't serious, and more like friends. We dated for 16 months, broke up for 2 months, and got back together on my 16th birthday. I graduated from high school at 17, and took a 1 year course in community college. We had always talked as if we would be together forever, and I had a feeling it was only a matter of time before we were married. Every once and a while, we would talk about what date we could be married, or something about getting married. About 2 months before my college graduation, we began looking at houses. We bought a house a month later, and we were set to move in about a week after my graduation. The same day that we put our first offer on our house, I finally convinced him to come with me to look at a ring I had fallen in love with. We ordered it then and there. A few weeks later, I got a call from the jeweler to say my ring had arrived, and I was very antsy to go get it. He picked me up from work so we could meet our realtor and put in our final offer on our house. I mentioned that the ring had arrived, and to my disappointment, he casually brushed it off. He pulled into the parking lot at the bank and said he needed to use the atm, and that there was something in the glove box he needed. I opened it, and there was MY RING! I screamed and ripped the box open, I couldn't wait for it to finally be on my finger! He never got down on one knee, or asked the question, but looking back, he had done just that when I was 16 and was giving me my promise ring. I didn't need to be asked twice! :) We set our date after being engaged for 22 months, which was just shy of 5 months before our wedding date! Our 6th anniversary is June 7, 2010, and we will be married 2 months later on August 7, 2010! We are young, and crazy, but so in love!
