The first two big decisions you need to make for your wedding are when and where! But which decision was more important to you?? Did you fall in love with a venue and take whatever date they had open? Or are you set on a specific date to tie the knot, and willing to find a venue that works? Which...

Which came first for you? Your wedding venue, or your wedding date?

Date! We booked two years out, so we had a lot of venue flexibility while sticking to our date.

We originally picked a date, then the venue but ended up changing the date a few months later. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Wedding date! I would have been a little flexible had we needed to though.

We chose a wedding date - it’s the date that we actually met and had our first date 11-1. However, when I found the PERFECT venue, they were already booked. So, we were just married this past weekend 11-9. ❤️ It’s important to have a couple dates that you’ll be okay with because great venues book quickly

Wedding Date! We've had 26 months to plan our wedding so we could really choose any date.

Venue. We didn't have our hearts set on any specific date, so we figured finding a venue we loved and being open with the date would be much easier than being dead-set on a date and not being able to find a venue available for our date

The wedding date came first. We can't book the location until 1 year in advance, so we decided what date we want, and will submit our permit application on the 1 year mark

Wedding date. I knew I wanted a Saturday in early July 2020 and didn’t want a holiday, so 7/11 it was. Luckily, every venue we visited had it available since we were looking 2 years out.

Wedding date! We were planning on booking our date but if our venue didn't have it available we were somewhat flexible.

For us it was date, venue, date.

We had a date picked, went and talked to the venue, then they didn't have the date we picked but did have availability 2 weeks after, so we went with that.

I really wanted an October Saturday night but the venue we went to didn’t have any available dates, so we ended up moving to a Friday night in November! And I’m still just as excited 🥰

Venue. We had a date in mind, but we would have changed it if the venue didn't have it open.
