Which came first? Venue or Wedding Date?

The date, because the 4th of October is important to us. We picked out the date and venue the same day though, but we had a change because my fiancé’s parents offered their house for no cost!

We picked our date first. But our date has special meaning to us... He proposed October 6, 2018. We knew we wanted a fall wedding which meant waiting at least another year. We originally met & began talking on October 25, 2010... So we decided we wanted our wedding date to be Saturday, October 26, 2019. 9 years & 1 day to the day we met ❤

Venue, we had a range of dates, and we went with the open one at our venue.

Venue! We knew the month in which we wanted to get married but we had no specific date, so we just looked at the avaibility of the venue!

For us, it was the date first. We want a winter wedding so that was our biggest priority. Next came venue.

For us, we sort of chose the date first or at least a range of dates and then the venue followed, and we hoped they had our dates available!

Date for sure! We almost changed our date because our original venue screwed us over and we were going to go with another date they’d had but ultimately chose not too because that just wasn’t cool so since our wedding is in the winter it wasn’t too hard finding another venue. Good thing too, we saved over half the amount of money!

Date. All our planning depended on that because we weren't budging on our date.

Funny with us we did not have a date set when we looked at the venue. We adjusted our date as it was cheaper in the fall.
anything to save a little. We want our wedding to be beautiful but also not to go in to debt with it as well.

Date first, which switched once we found the venue. Luckily by only one day!

My FH and I were set on getting married on our 10th dating anniversary in 2021 so our date came first. We lucked out and got our preferred venue for that date!
