When do you start receiving gifts???

ITS NOT ABOUT THE GIFTS!! GAAHHHDDD!!!!

Just joshin..they usually come the week before, of, and after.

Im still getting cards in the mail lol got one yesterday!

We got our first gift in the mail a week ago. So far, 3 people have sent us gifts through the mail. We have 15 days until our wedding.

We got a few gifts at our engagement party too.

We started getting wedding gifts in the mail about 6 weeks out.

We got out first gift a week before the bridal shower, after being engaged well over a year. Several cards before that though! I think people don't want to buy gifts until it's closer to the shower to see what gets added to it, etc.

I think most gifts arrive a week out, or whenever there is a shower thrown in your honor.

I had my first shower about 2 months before the wedding, started getting gifts around then. Unfortunately where we registered doesn't deliver. Had to go pick up each gift at the store.

Around when your bridal shower invites go out or when your invites go out. AND a lot of people wait until the VERY last minute to buy.

I think you have a while to go before you get anything with a September 2014 date. We got a few gifts at our engagement party in October, but nothing since.

As soon as people received our invitation, we received two gifts, one from someone who accepted our invite and one from someone who declined.

Your shower?

I guess it depends on how generous your friends and family are. I'm not expecting anything until the shower but I've received plenty of cards, an Edible Arrangement and a picture frame.

I would assume your shower. Maybe a week out before the shower but, I would have to guess that other than cards, you will recieve gifts at your shower.

I think it just depends on the giver. Most people bring one to the shower, and then either mail a wedding gift shortly ahead of the date or bring it to the wedding.

We've gotten 5 gifts - I think most were meant to engagement gifts. One was really extravagant ($800 worth of cookware) so I'm thinking maybe it was a combo engagement and wedding gift.

For wedding gifts, we've gotten 3 in the mail so far, the first about a week after we sent the invitations.

We've had one shower already and got I think around 17 gifts from that.

My shower was 3 weeks before the wedding. In addition to shower gifts, I also got a few wedding gifts (card and cash) from people who knew they wouldn't be able to attend the wedding. We also got a couple cards and cash from some guests who couldn't attend after we sent out invites. The rest we received at the wedding, and then a few in the mail afterwards (again from people who couldn't attend).

Moral of the story, we got all our gifts at our wedding except for people who couldn't come and then they sent when it was convenient for them, whether before or after.

I got gifts at my shower and 1 in the mail. (She accidently sent it to me instead of her house, so she was planning to give it to us at the wedding. She called to ask if I got it a couple weeks later cause she was scared it got lost in the mail.) I've also had a few people say "Hey, I got you this. When do you want it?" We have 3 weeks to go, so I'm thinking most people will bring gifts the day of the wedding.
