My fiancé and I both met while serving in the Military, and living in the same apartment complex. We actually met because we both adopted shelter dogs at the same time, and were hanging out in the dog park together. A night of Mario kart later and we were officially an item, and spent the last four years dating long distance before he moved in with me and then proposed just three weeks ago. We are planning a 2020 wedding in Savannah, Ga!

We first dated when I was 15 and he'd just turned 20. He'd casually dated a friend of mine, and I liked him IMMEDIATELY. The feeling was mutual but wasn't acted on until my friend was on to her next guy. We only broke up because I was so young, and he was leaving for the navy We stayed friends but lost touch until 2014 when we found each other on Facebook. Friends again for a bit until April 2017 when he called and said he was taking me to dinner. I said ok and we've been together since. He proposed 7 months later...only a mere 32 years after we first met

Awww, Kimberly!! Smiley heart I love these sorts of stories, where someone has known since the beginning that their SO was the one. You can't go wrong with either of those honeymoon options, and I know you have time, but I'm partial to Italy. Smiley smile

You know not at first, but over our four years, they all lived together off and on, and we added a new pup in that really helped meld them all together. The older one still isn't a total fan, but he tolerates my big girl, and will even defend her from time to time now.

Ours isn’t all that traditional. He moved to my hometown when we were in the 6th grade. He moved there from Memphis, TN and Jackson, TN, and he was a HUGE troublemaker. I was a goody two-shoes so we never got along! We continued going to the same high school, where he dated two of my best friends. We still weren’t really friends, but we didn’t hate each other, lol. It wasn’t until our senior year, when I noticed that he and a mutual friend had the same class hours as I did. By the second or third day of classes I saw him and our friend Ryleigh hanging out in the parking lot about to leave. I drove over there and asked to hang out with them since all of my other friends have class, and I had to wait on my younger sister get done with her classes which was 2.5 hours away. This began my biggest adventures with my best friends. I fell for him not even a month into hanging out with him and getting to know him. December of that year, we were flirting, but when I confronted him in that following January, he denied having feelings for me at all. It wasn’t until March of that year that he admitted his feelings and asked me to be his girlfriend. The rest is history, and I’ve never loved anyone as much as I love Nicholas James. ❤️

My fiance and I met in first grade, the same year I lost my Grandmother the most important person in my life. I moved around a lot due to my fathers job, so after that year I never saw him again. Until my senior year of highschool, I moved back to that school district and his best friend was in my human relations class and asked me to hang out. So I did. After plenty of high school parties, we finally started going out on dates and after six months of just going on dates, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes, fast forward from being 18 to a month after my 25th birthday he finally proposed to me at the same place we had our very first date, 7 years back. It was very nostalgic and I cannot wait to make new memories in our highschool dates spots and more!

We met at my first job! His sister actually hired me and was my friend, and around 2014 she got him hired cuz he wanted a second job. I was appointed to train him 😁 and we became instant friends! Couple years later we became an item. We still talk about how every day we hoped we would work together cuz we hated it there and only stayed cuz we liked working together.

We were pen pals that met online and one day I was going to meet friends in a town he lived in and he begged to meet me at Walmart, he had no ride back to his place and his phone was broken. I agreed and we’ve been together ever since. We eloped 8 months later. We’ve been married over 6 years now and are planning our vow renewal for this December to celebrate 7 years!

We went to school together. We dated off and on nothing serious in high school we went to prom together. He was a year under me. We ended up being best friends and I talked him into joining show choir. We were insuperable. We did everything together. Then after high school we lost touch, he left for the Air Force. Then he messaged me. We talked a bit. Next thing you know he was coming home to me. Now we live together and are adopting a little boy and getting married! I couldn’t ask for a better life!

We met early 2015 and stayed best friends throughout the year until the end of 2015 when we started dating. We went out on lots of dates and family activities with my kids, we introduced each other to the other's friends and family along the way. We bought a house together in 2018 and moved in together and loved it! We worked together on renovations and I finished school and started my own business. We are glad to have the same goals and dreams and plan on starting a family after we are married.

We started dating in March of last year. It has only been 10 months so we are waiting another year and a half or so to get married. He hasn’t officially proposed with an engagement ring yet. He gave me a promise ring for Christmas, and you’d have to know us both to know that that is a big thing for us. We’ve never felt in any of our previous relationships the way we do together. We’ve never been this serious about anyone, and seriously planned on getting married and having kids before. I believe we are totally and completely in love with each other, and it’ll be hard to break us up after everything we’ve been through together. ❤️

I truly believe we don't meet the love of our life until the time is right. When I was 23, my fiance was 27. I was looking for "the one," and he was enjoying his single life when we had a short bump in to each other.

I was on a terrible first date. It wasn't that the guy was rude or anything, I'd literally broken my ankle on the way to a local bar. I didn't want to head home so I hobbled to the bar with my date anyway. I was sitting at a table with ice on my foot and I could feel the pressure in my boot rising. I decided to hobble to the bathroom to look at the damage. The only problem was I didn't know where it was.

Hobbling around frantically I heard an Irish man say, "are you alright love?"

I turned around and saw his big blue eyes and was instantly attracted, but I wrote off his conversation starter as concern rather than interest. I just responded with a laugh and, "yeah, I just broke my fricken ankle no big deal."

He offered to help me to the bathroom but I declined, I was embarrassed and my ride home was watching and I didn't want to mess the date up more. I didn't want to be a story that guy told his friends how his date broke their ankle then ran off with a dreamy guy.

So I let Sean (my fiance, not actually Irish) go that night. Had we dated then it would have been a disaster, I would have become really clingy and ruined things. I wasn't ready yet.

It wasn't until years later, a few months in to dating, we put it together. 5 years ago, how he was dared to speak with an Irish accent all day, how he tried to pick up a pretty girl who'd hurt her foot but she blew him off.

Its really funny how life works.

Me and my fiancé met in high school. We were both in JROTC and both on the drill teams. He was a senior and I was a sophomore and one day my commander at the time had told me, in front of everyone, that he saw me in the hallways and thought I was attractive. We started talking and then dating after he had found my social media somehow. He then went off to the military, while I still had two more years in high school. He was still in the same state for about a year and then got stationed to Las Vegas, so I was stuck in San Antonio visiting him every few months for about three years. Now we are FINALLY engaged after a total of five years of dating and plan to have a wedding next year!

For years I would ask god to send me someone who will love me and my son just the way they are, someone who is just like us but different all in one. Someone who will put up with me and my stubbornness but someone who will make me be me and that’s exactly what he did.

Our love happened so fast, we have been friends for so long but never realized the spark between us. We reunited at a party and it started from there.
We held hands by accident and the tingling sensation has never felt so right and at that very moment I knew I was in love. Everyday she shows me what love is, she is even there for my son which is hard to come by. For years I would tell her that I am planning to spend the rest of
my life with her so that’s exactly what we’re olanning to do. We had a Christmas party with all our friends since the first moment we realized we lived eachother was at a party she decided it would be the perfect moment to pop the question. She decided to tell everyone about the surprise purposal by doing secret santa. As all the gift we’re passed out there was one left so everyone told me to open it (three boxes later) I opened up the gift to find a Disney up ring box and when I turned around she was on her knee. I have never cried so hard in front of people before but this was a night I will never forget. She’s truly the one.
