What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?

Carole M (a.k.a "old tart"), on December 2, 2010 at 6:36 PM Posted in Planning 0 63

I just answered a post and this question came to mind. Aside from the obvious..that first look, what one thing in your wedding reception and ceremony are you looking forward to the most?

Ceremony: I can't wait to read my vows.

Reception: I can't wait to dance to our song, "In Your Eyes."

    Love the answers!!

@Elizabeth...I hope you have a great time dressing with your friends and family.

@KK...I love it! Yes...that "eee we're married" is a close second for me.

@Shanika...I am sure your sweetie will love you in your dress. The look in your grooms eyes is something you will never forget, trust me on that one. Re your projects...good luck!

Honestly, seeing my girls. It's been quite a while since I've seen some of them, and I'm really looking forward to it! And of course for the most influential women in my life to all meet. Cause only two of them have ever met...

The other thing is showing off my grown up kitchen to my mother. Yes, I'm excited about the kitchen.

Honestly for me, the wedding is a week long event with a ceremony in it. The ceremony itself is just an excuse to get my special people together.

Having that first moment alone after we are married to soak it in! I am not sure when I"ll plan our lil sneak away moment, maybe during the reception for a few minutes or maybe in the limo before going to the reception for a few minutes! :-)

Ok...is it weird to say that not only I cant wait to see my man at the end of the aisle, but also for him to smell me? Weird huh? But I had a special perfume made just for the wedding day...that and I had another one made for the honeymoon night. He always comments on how good I smell.....but the purfume I had made for the wedding is completely different. But Im sure he will love it. I wouldnt be surpirsed if he commented how good I smell right there at the alter. :-)

Also, I cannot WAIT to hear him pull up in his harley right before the ceremony...that will be my cue to walk to the ceremony site. *squeee*!!!!

@LaQuisha....I hope your day is everything you hope for it to be.

@Genevieve....How nice that all of your influential friends will finally get to meet. We also consider our DW a weekend long love fest, with all of our friends from different parts of our lives and family get to come together.

    @ Shanika... : )

Oh oh! AND the father-daughter dance..my mom passed away when I was 9 so it will definately be bitter sweet for the both of us..when I was home my dad suggested we dance to this oen song..i said "well it is your choice, but I was thinking It's a wonderful world by louis armstrong." Then he was like ohhhhhh I love that song , I didn't know you even knew that song!. I said ya, and played it on you tube, and then my dad got all teary, too sweet! :-) and proceeded to say: "ohh I can't get all blubbery at the wedding and make a fool of myself." LOL. I told him he was allowed to, thats what weddings are for!

@future mrs traider..Isn't it great that your man is also your best friend. You can't ask for more!

@Abigail....I hope you figure out that perfect place where you have that moment.

@Jennifer....Woo Hoo to the sound of the bike! Sadly, we are weather dependant with October in Vermont. We plan on towing because we have so much stuff to bring(Yes, we are so embarrassed to be towing too.)But, I am hoping we are able to have a maiden Mr. and Mrs. ride with our friends following.

Other than FH seeing me for the first time, I can't wait to get all dressed up, I love my dress! It may seem weird but I'm excited to sign the marriage license lol. At the reception I'm really looking forward to the toasts, they'll make me cry I'm sure.
