What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?

I just answered a post and this question came to mind. Aside from the obvious..that first look, what one thing in your wedding reception and ceremony are you looking forward to the most? Ceremony: I can't wait to read my vows. Reception: I can't wait to dance to our song, "In Your Eyes."

I'm looking forward to him seeing me, and holding his hand at the top of the aisle - because I'll be terrified standing in front of all those people! I'm not looking forward to the vows because of the public speaking bit (and because I've not written mine yet!!!! and worried it wont live up to his expectations).

Looking forward to seeing FHs nephews face when we bring him out a birthday cake after the speeches (he's 10), because he thinks everyone will forget his birthday because of the wedding - it's 3 days after.

And I can't wait to see all my long distance close friends again!

It's amazing all the different times in the day we are looking forward to. In the ceremony, I can't wait until we do the encore. After we walk down the aisle, we will turn around and do an encore kiss. At the reception, I can't wait until we can sneak away for a moment and just celebrate ourselves!

@ Carole B, I share your sentiments. After a horribly rotten first marriage, I never thought there would be a "Mr Right". FS is everything and more. Congrats to you and may you have a wonderful life.

@Ms. Boop....Aww...I love reading "melts my heart."

@Meghan....As the mother of two daughters, the eldest being the "princess", and the youngest being the "tom boy"(hate that term), I can tell you be prepared for lots of tears seeing them all froofied. Can't wait to see the pics.

@Ava...We are also doing a first look before the ceremony. We are hoping it will cut down on the tears. Re dancing under the vineyards, that sounds awesome!

@Elizabeth...I am glad you also found the "man of your dreams."

@Kristy...Just imagine your guests in their underwear, and you will be fine. Smiley winking Btw...from the Brady Bunch..a show way before your time. Good luck with the public part.

@Dawn...An encore kiss is such a wonderful idea!! Re stealing that private moment, enjoy! Thanks for your kind words! Cheers to putting the demons aside and truly living "happily ever after." : )

There were a few things I was really looking forward to. The first was having my hair and makeup done professionally while all of my girls were around, I have to say it lived up to everything I thought it would. The second big thing for me was Javon seeing me for the first time. He started to cry when the church doors opened, so it was better than my wildest dreams about that moment. I will never forget it!!

For me another thing I was really looking forward to was having photos taken of us. I know a lot of people dread photos, but I loved it!!! Our photographer made it fun and in the end of photos are AMAZING!!! SO I was really excited about our photos.

I am looking forward to that moment when I walk into the church and I am scared to death because I am so shy and all it takes is looking straight at his face and I am calmed down once again. Everytime this happens I am reminded again that he is absolutely perfect for me!

@Carole, thanks! I am so excited, I wish it were tomorrow. What am I saying, I am nowhere near ready. My dress isn't even here. But I would marry him in blue jeans if I had to.

@Carole B: I can definitely relate. I knew my ex-husband for seven years before we got married. When that marriage ended, I didn't know how I would ever have the confidence to marry again. I mean if I could know him for that long, and still feel sure he was the one, what could I possibly do differently the second time around that would give me confidence that any second one was really the one? However, after I had been with NotFroofy for many years (and had been told by everyone that she was the right one, including my former therapist who said NotFroofy was the best thing that ever happened to me), I finally felt the confidence to remarry.

@Carole B: Well, I'm 57, which i think makes me the oldest on this board. As for the haggiest, it appears that several want to dispute my title.

There is one more thing that i really can't wait for is the very first time that we are some where or meeting new people and he himself introduces me as his wife or me introducing him as my husband. to say those words and they really be true.

I absolutely can't wait to see his face the first time he sees me in my dress. I want to take his breath away. I already told him I'll be totally pissed if he makes a weird face because it's one of my "must-have" pictures with the photographer!

@Carole B. I think we're both going to cry ( He cried when he proposed) I'm excited and nervous now so I can only imagine all the emotions that I'm going to be feeling then.
