I love my Mori Lee dress and I paid $1150 plus tax. It just arrived and I have my first fitting next week! My budget was $2000. It came up to $1300 with tax, so I'm hoping the alterations will be less than $700. My veil is my something borrowed from my sister so I don't need to buy one. Mori Lee and Maggie Sottero dresses are beautiful and you should be able to find one for less than $1500. Good luck!

My dress was just under $1,000 when everything was done (taxes, etc) that even includes the preservation box. I got an Oleg Cassini
Mine was tag priced at about $1,100 but my store was having a sample sale - as in buy one straight from the rack and save $200! Check into boutiques doing this if you can! That also means you can research and choose where to alter (or take back to them if you wish)! GOOD LUCK!
$1400 Stella York -- boutique paid the taxes. They said it would arrive in 4-5 months but it only took 3! I'm expecting some alterations costs. I wish I had looked a little harder for sales or at least if other boutiques carried her and had a better price but shopping is TIRING and I happened to have my whole entourage with me so I just decided then and there. Time is money too!
I am a super budgeter! Got my dress for $49.99 and they gave me a $20 gift card to shutterfly!! What's better is it was the exact vision of what I wanted for my dress. Got it at David's during there big sale of the year.
My daughter is a budget bride and she got her dress at David's bridal with the veil for less than 900 check them out when they have their $99 sales they have them every 3 months
Mine was originally $1,800 but was on sale for $1,400. It all depends on what style you want. I was kind of upset though because I found my exact dress, in the size I needed for sale on line from an independent seller. So, my suggestion, if you find a dress you like, take note of the designer and size that fits you, then look online for brides selling "used" dresses to see if you can find a better deal. Just make sure it's not a manufacturer in China. Good luck!!
I went to Anya Bridal in Atlanta and there were plenty of dresses there in your budget. My original budget was around $1,200 and ended up getting a dress that was $1,900 because I just knew it was the right one. I have been very budget conscious throughout the whole process so I didn't mind going a little over. There were a ton of dresses under $1,200 though. Don't forget to account for a veil, undergarmets and alterations as well. The alterations can add up quickly depending on what you want/need done.

Thanks Nenabear! Its the only dress/petticoat I tried on. I knew what I wanted, and it was perfect, AND affordable!
I spent 1500 on mines and I think it was well worth. Haven't worn it yet tho ☺. Tried the store one on and it was beautiful. And I went to Davids bridal specifically for it! Vera Wang

I've never seen so many one star ring avatars on a single post before. Weird!
$30. Craigslist. Only wearing this thing once. Not spending a monthly mortgage payment on it. And you'd be surprised how many pretty dresses you can find. My dress certainly doesn't look cheap. Now just have to lose the weight to fit into it. But that was done on purpose.
My budget was $1000 and I purchased a Melissa Sweet dress for $999 from David's Bridal. Brand new. And it's not plain at all. Has buttons going all the way down the back, a full skirt, long train, and a delicate lace pattern. I have had nothing but great experiences with David's Bridal and I would definitely recommend them, especially for a budget bride. I am also an August 2016 bride Congrats!
