Wedding Ring Tattoos

I would not. Although, I too am soOoO in love. Like you say, it is PERMANENT! It is a very nice idea and I am sure your fiance (future husband) would LOVE it!! But, it is your body, and if you are having second thoughts about it now, just think of how many times you may have second thought about it in the future.. Diamonds are a girls best friend!! When you flash around your ring, people are not going to wanna see tattoo markings underneath...Good luck

I wouldn't. Maybe you guys could get matching tattoos? I hate to be negative, but people change, and you just never know what could happen.

I don't think something so permanent, easily visible, and well, contrversial makes a good surprise. If you are really considering it, talk to FH about it. It may be something you can do together, or he may not like the idea. You could also consider something in a less visible place, just in case. JM2C.

FH and I have talked about something similar... No names or initials but maybe something that means something to us. Kinda like Beyonce and Jay-Z's roman numeral IV.

I have a friend who had a ring tattooed on her finger and it caused a lot of problems for some reason that area seems to have a lot of trouble healing from tattoos and eventually after the in k bleeding out having the tattoo redone and then being put on antibiotic she ended up with her finger immobilized for almost three weeks in short THINK THIS OVER CAREFULLY

Well I have alot of tattoos so I'm usually pro-tatt but this time I have a little negative. Fingers aren't good place to put a tattoo because they regenerate skin so often and they also age very quickly from sun exposure etc. so that causes the ink to fade and bleed into itself. It ends up looking like a black square after a while. Maybe get it somewhere else, and if you're uncomfortable with the name you could do something that reminds you of him. A key, puzzle piece, etc.

My FH's initials are KW and I've played with the letters enough to make them look like something else but still have the intials there (Palm tree!) I can try to upload pictures later, but if something (lord forbid) happens and we do split up I can get it transformed sooo easy into something else.

Um, you might want to talk to Pamela Anderson about that. You could also check with Mia Tyler and Dave Buckner.

I agree with teexoxo--a finger is a bad location. Also, as Analy points out, tattoos (like puppies) do not generally make good surprises.

FH and I probably wouldn't get matching tattoos, but we do want to go get tattoos together at some point. I have three already and he's getting his first this weekend--I couldn't get one now because I have to go off my blood thinning meds to do it, and that's NOT something you want to fool around with a month before a long plane trip, but maybe around my birthday in November or next year in the winter...

Wow I'm so glad I posted this. So thats a NO on the finger tattoo lol. But I will consider getting one somewhere else and I think I'll talk to FH first. No immobile fingers for me!

Yeah, as much as I love my FH, I wouldn't do the ring finger tattoo. We are talking about getting matching tattoos - but no names, dates, etc. Just a little something that is meaningful to us!

Me and my fh are getting matching tatts..it will say "not even death" with a flat line.

My FH and I have talked about this. We agreed not to get each others names and/or initials. We may get matching tattoos instead. Have not yet decided what yet.

I have a few tattoos including huge back angel tattoo but I would never get a tattoo anywhere on my hand or foot just because of how fast they fade away and I saw a girl who had initials on her finger and now they look like a jumbled mess...I love the idea but honestly in the long run it may not look so nice and you have a permanent blob on your finger. Just my opinion!

I would never do it! You are in love, but noone can see the future. I have no tattoos, but if I did, nobody's name would be going on my body unless they are already dead! LOL

I would never do that. Too permanent and doesn't increase your commitment to one another moreso than a wedding already does. But, I think you have to be a tattoo person to begin with - which I am not.

I have tattoos and A FEW COVERED, but I will not considered that one especially the field I currently work.

I have three tattoos one on my hip has three stars one for my mom sister and dad. when I get married i am adding a moon for my new lifestyle.

I want to get my fh initials as well but i dont want to take that chance. especially with karma. so i have decided i might get something like "bound by love" tattoo'd under my ring. or something shorter.

do something that is significant to the both of you.

I'm not a big fan of tattoos anywhere like faces, necks, and hands.
