Wearing a ring 24/7?

My ring is fairly large. I take it off while sleeping and showering primarily. I don't wear it while volunteering at the local animal shelter, while in the pool or doing outside things. I also take it off while working with raw meat. Otherwise it's on.

I wear mine very little. I work in a field where they are not allowed, so I can only wear it when I get home, while i sleep, and on weekends. I also take it off to shower.

I take it off when I put on lotion and I should take it off at work since I’m a sheet metal worker but I don’t.

I personally do NOT wear mine all the time. And I don't think you should be made to feel bad if that's what you choose. So the night my husband proposed we were staying at a hotel. We were actually at homecoming at the college we went to (and where we met) and that's where he proposed. I woke up in the morning and the ring wasn't on my finger so I freaked out!!! It was in the bed. I guess I took it off in the middle of the night without realizing, most likely because I wasn't used to it. I take mine off every night before going to bed. I don't shower in it, or clean with it on. When I remember I take it off to do the dishes too. I recommend taking it off when you do chores, shower or before bed. Definitely before cleaning because the chemicals aren't good for your ring. The sparkle will dull a bit, but nothing a cleaning at the jeweler's can't fix. It's the metal that will suffer if you wear it all the time. Honestly i think it's just preference and you should do whatever you're most comfortable with.

First of all don’t listen to people and make your own choices. That being said I take off my ring every night before going to sleep. Mostly because it fits me big, and I’m in wedding dress weight loss mode so I find it pointless to get resized until 2/3 months before the wedding. Secondly, I’m scared that it’ll get caught in the thread of sheets or something and I’ll squish it (i dont know these are just thoughts that cross my mind lol). And to be quite honest; there have been MANY times that I’ve left to work in a rush and forgotten to put my ring.

A ring is a token/reminder that your SO loves you and wants to spend their life with you. It DOES NOT mean that if you don’t put it on they will love you any less. So, keep on doing what you feel is right. Just make sure not to lose it if you take it off lol .

I take mine off for certain tasks. Example : I do not lift weights or workout with it on. No gardening. Sometimes cooking. Or work where it would get scratched. Your FH should understand you are protecting the ring!

I wear it all the time. I usually will take it off to do dishes and sometimes forget to put it back on for 2-3 days. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It drives him crazy only because I’ve lost a ring before. It’s not that big of a deal in my opinion to take it off though.

I love my ring but I take it off to shower and to sleep and also when I wash my hands. I just don’t want to get it dirty so I try to keep it clean and dry for the most part

Since mine was recent as well, I try to remember to wear it since I don't wear jewelry. So it's been tricky for me as well.

I take mine off all the time. I take it off for sleeping, cleaning up the house, doing dishes, yard work, and tasks where it may get damaged. I also get my ring cleaned and inspected every 6 months. I have my wedding set and husband's ring insured with Jeweler's Mutual (specific jewelry insurance policy - covers way better than homeowners)

I take it off when I cook, when I shower, when I work out and when I sleep.

I usually have my ring on at all times. Unless I’m seasoning meat for a meal, or doing my daughter/my hair . Once that’s done she’s back in place.

I wear my ring 24/7 I am recently having health issues had to take off all my other rings and although my engagement ring at times is uncomfortable I can't and do not want to take it off. Ever time I look at it it reminds me of a love that I am so greatful for and lucky to have.

I got a pamphlet with my engagement ring that my fiancé kept! If advising you to take it off when cleaning, showering and even sleeping! Sleeping is because the prongs easily get caught on the stitching of blankets and pillows and then loosens the prongs over time! So that’s what I do! No ring in the shower, cleaning or bed!

That is totally up to u. If he isn't bothered by it don't worry about what other people think.. My sister and her husband (been together for 21 years) take theirs off while at home and over the weekend. Me I never take mine off. I also have seen people get those rubber one and wear those instead of their wedding rings

I do a lot of painting in my job, so I take mine off a bunch even when I'm out of the house. I do have a chain that I put my ring on when it's not on my finger, but that's mainly because I'm afraid of losing it otherwise, lol.

I wear mine usually 24/7 I hate wearing it to work though so I got that plastic rubber ones! I just got engaged so I feel weird not wearing it haha I want to show this baby off!

I take mine off when i go to sleep, when i take a shower, at the gym, doing dished (really any cleaning), when i use hand lotion. literally any time i think i could get it dirty or damage it, i take it off.
