Videography - Need to Have or Nice to Have?

It was a need for us, but not everyone.

Nice to have. I think just having the moment captured is nice whether through photo or video but I know video can be out of budget

Nice to have for some people, never something I wanted. Even if someone offered it to me for free, I'd say no thanks. Pictures are plenty. Watching myself on camera freaks me out lol

Nice to have. This is something I am trying to make room for in budget.

Nice to have. We'll have pics and everyone has a camera on their phone-- there'll be plenty of candid video footage and I know I'd be picky about videography and want to redo it if I wasn't happy with the gaze of the videographer. One less thing to stress over!

Nice to have! We didn’t have room in our budget for professional videographers, but I still desperately wanted a video of some sort, so we chose to go through WEDIT in a kind of DIY style!

I view videography as an “extra” like a photo booth, it’s just something that’s easy to cut. It’s nice to have, but not fundamental.

Nice to have. I wasn't interested in videography. Photos mean a lot more to me. Just depends how the bride/family prefer to look back at memories.

Need to have! Our wedding is an all day 14 hour affair between getting ready, first look, taking pictures at the arboretum, the ceremony, and reception. We will have 2 videographers for the whole day. It came as a package with our photography so it was in our budget.

I am going to say Need to have. I will explain but the reason is rather morbid. I had a videographer for my first wedding, when I married my daughters father. We got married, a year later we got pregnant and 9 months later he passed away. My daughter never met him, but I will be able to pass our wedding video on to her when she is old enough to appreciate it.

A must have for us! I want video so we can go back and watch it on our anniversaries

Nice to have. We didn't feel strongly about videography so we skipped it. It would be nice to actually see the full ceremony, but I hate watching videos of myself. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nice to have, but not something we need or want. Our photographer offered to videograph our ceremony for us for free. Which is awesome, but if something to happen where she couldnt. I wouldnt be heart broken
