Videography - Need to Have or Nice to Have?

I think this is totally up the couple. Some feel it is necessary and others don't. I would love to have one, but it wouldn't fit in our budget.

This is actually something I did NOT want. I don’t really want to see myself on camera or hear my voice haha. Would maybe watch it once and that’s it, it’s just not us. I do care to have awesome pictures tho so that’s where my money went!

I definitely want a video! Not sure of prices so we will see.

Definitely a must have if you can afford it. Every video I’ve seen of a wedding is done beautifully, and it’s a cool way to be able to look back at your wedding. However in my opinion I wouldn’t go out of my way to budget for this if I don’t have money for it in the first place

For me, it’s a must! Pictures can’t capture what a video can

Nice to have it your budget allows, but not a must for me. As long as I have beautiful pictures I'm good.

Nice to have. We got lucky and our venue films the entire ceremony and reception 😁

Not needed but it's nice

Nice to have. Wasn’t in our budget to have a videographer all day. Our photographer does have an add on to setup video cameras to record the ceremony that we opted for. It will be basic, but at least it’s filmed.

Nice to have. It was one of those things I'd like to have but it wasn't a must. I ended up having some extra room in the budget & I was able to hire one. If I wasn't able to though it wouldn't have been a big deal though.

Need to have for me. But I totally understand why its not for everyone.

Nice to have, if we had the budget for it we might have looked into it, but honestly it isn't super important to us. I mean, I honestly can't see us ever watching it, maybe once or twice. Having a good photographer was more of our priority.

Thought this was a need to have for me until I did some shopping around and boy is it costly! The more I thought about it, we would probably never watch the video again after the initial newlyweds. While nice to have, I don't think it's worth a couple thousand dollars.

Although I treat it as a need, I will say it's nice to have but not necessary
