Videography - Need to Have or Nice to Have?

Need for us. All of my family go back and watch their wedding videos and I think it's super sweet to have, especially on your anniversary

It’s nice to have but for me we need it

NEED TO HAVE for me. As long as I've waited to marry my man I want to be able to relive that moment in action over and over again. I plan to wear that sucker out! LOL! Seriously, however, capturing the memories was a non-negotiable budget item for me so both videography and photography were splurges.

Got us it’s a nice yo have. We will be opting out of a videographer for budget’s sake. Our thought is that we have enough tech savvy folks at the wedding that will capture nice videos and such and we can watch through our guests’ eyes.

Nice to have. If they weren't so expensive, I'd honestly consider it. But it's totally not in the budget.

As a filmmaker, this is a need to have for me (a wedding film, not necessarily everything captured). Also - it was the #1 thing the majority of my married friends either regretted not paying for if they didn’t have it, or the #1 thing they were happy they paid for if they did. That sealed the deal for me, and we made sure to budget for it!

Honestly, I don't like this is a need or a nice to have. For us, we were both perfectly fine having our day captured via photography because we don't feel we would actually use the wedding video. I do understand though for some couples that feeling is very different.

Nice to have, but not something we can fit into our budget so we are going all out for the wedding photos by having a very nice wedding album made for us.

For us (and by us, I mean me lol) it's a need to have.

Nice to have. We decided to have one, mainly for the ceremony. Not necessary but we didn’t want to regret it.

Nice to have, chances are you may look at that video once or twice.

Neither. You don't need it, unless you really want to pay for it, can afford it, and want to continually relieve it as if you were there.

This was not on my radar at first but multiple people said they love theirs and watch on their anniversary. Plus, we're paying for the entire wedding and won't see everything for example I won't get to see anyone else walk down the aisle so I want that footage. We booked one and I'm looking forward to it now.

Neither, honestly for how much this costs and how often are you going to sit down and watch this, the cost isn't justified to me.

Nice to have. We cannot fit a professional into our budget so I will be having my mom record a video on my DSLR camera. 🤷🏼‍♀️ DIY for the win!
